A new beginning

Faith

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. (Hebrews 11:1)

I stand before the mirror and stare at the person in front of me. Who am I and where am I going? I am a child of God, a friend of Jesus and inside me live a powerful Spirit. As I look outside at the new day slowly transforming night into day, I look inside and see how I am slowly transforming from a weak and broken vessel to a powerful soldier driven by faith.

Faith is not the word that makes me live for Jesus. No! Faith is the driving force that moves my mountains and breaks the chains of temptation. It sets me free from the boundaries of this world and makes me soar above the clouds as an eagle. Faith is my hope, my trust and my message. Faith holds me and faith makes me walk where others have failed.

Faith is the shoes on my feet that does not go weary, but keeps me going. Faith is my compass, my life jacket and my ticket to eternity. Faith is my confession of a living God and my trust I so easily place in His hands. 

My faith is in the Lord Jesus, and no one can take that away, because with faith I am unstoppable.

A new beginning

The path of righteousness

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

As I stand humbly before you Lord, the path that lies ahead seems dark and difficult. I feel insecure and afraid as I look for another way. The road thus far has seemed so hard with so many uphill’s and dangerous places and my strength seems to fade as I hold on to the last ounce. I feel weak…

Somehow I regain my balance and my tired body regains momentum. I am lifted from the pit where I was and placed on the road. I am renewed and refreshed as a stream of new strength flows through my body and my weakness is turned into power. I look up to see where this new life comes from. I look up and I am in awe…

What lies ahead may seem unclear, but what lies within is not. The path of righteousness may seem hard and difficult, but the road that lies before me will become bearable, because I do not walk this way alone. I walk every step with Jesus as He guides and carries me through, because on my own I will fail.

I am walking again… my journey has just begun.

Have a great day dear friend of Jesus as we travel together on the roads of life seeking His presence and His guidance. You are not alone and you are definitely not weak. You are a survivor, victorious and without failure.

Forgiven – The Extreme makeover

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when He freed us from the penalty for our sins. (Romans 3:23-24)

Do you still carry the burden of old sin? When you accepted Jesus into your life and asked God for forgiveness, you were forgiven and all your sins wiped clean so that you can start a new day with a new you. Placing your past and your sins in the hands of Jesus is like an extreme makeover. 

The heavy burden of sin is taken away = quick weight loss program with instant results

The old self dies and a new person is born = not only do you get an instant face lift, but you are an entirely new person.

Dressed in His grace and love = the finest of materials is God’s grace and mercy that now shines upon you as your light breaks the darkness.

Healthy scriptures keeps you healthy = a new diet of healthy scriptures and regular Bible study makes for a healthy spirit and mind.

The big reveal = Hello world this is me, saved by Jesus Christ and made new by God’s grace. I am a light for other and a message of hope. 

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5:17)

A new beginning

Jesus at the door

"Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.” (Revelation 3:20)

Every day we get the opportunity to start fresh. A new day with new possibilities and new challenges comes along every 24 hours. As the rays of the sun reaches out to touch the land a warm up the cold night, Jesus also reaches out each day to warm up your life. Is your life to busy? Do you run from point “A” to point “B” and it never seems as if there is enough time? Does your day feel like it only has 20 hours while the rest of the world gets 24?

My dear friend, you are missing Jesus. He stands at your door and knocks, let Him in and spend time with Him. Slow down for a minute and enjoy the warmth of His companionship before you rush of. Let His gentle voice calm your inner self and let His grace and love fill your cup so that it overflows. Let the new day start with Jesus as your pre-breakfast and the rest of your day will be a breeze of positive changes.

Come with me today as we have breakfast with Jesus and in this new habit become great friends.
