A
reminder for today
The
people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a
land of deep darkness, a light will shine. (Isaiah 9:2)
When I ran Friday morning we did not have any power in
our estate so it was quite dark. As I ran I looked up to see the heavens open
and clear after the rain in the last week. The stars were so bright as filled
the sky and broke the darkness to give me a light that I could use as I ran. I looked
up to see the Southern Cross above me and I could just feel His presence as I ran.
I always say I never run alone, the Lord always runs with me, because we are
always in conversation as I talk to Him about the day that lies ahead. I love
this time on the road, it is our moment out in the crispy morning air away from
the rush of the world.
Breaking the darkness - This I my thoughts for today. Jesus
came into this world as the light to an already dark and treacherous place. The
world was lost, but He came to reunite us with the Father and break this
darkness. When you put a light in a dark place the darkness can never overpower
that light, no matter how faint it is. When Jesus enters your life, nothing can
take away that light even it is only a tiny glimmer at first. When this little
light gets power it becomes a sun that will destroy all darkness, not only the
dark that you faced, but all the darkness around you.
For those of us that face dark times or we are in the
midst of them, His will break all darkness and bring you back into the warmth
of His love and mercy.
For a
child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his
shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting
Father, Prince of Peace. (Verse 6)
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus
