Today Reminder – 30 September 2015 (Day 21 – Dear Lord)

A reminder for today
Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. (Philippians 4:11-12)

How are you my friend? I am writing a little late today and I apologise for that. Things just worked out like that today. I want to end this month with contentment and blessings. I went to gym for my second workout yesterday afternoon and beside me on the treadmill was a young man with a serious disability that hinders him from walking normally. He walked on the treadmill and I could see that it was no easy task yet he must be used to it for it seemed not to bother him that much. So as I was running I realised just how fortunate we are. How blessed we are and how grateful we should be. I am very fortunate in that sense, because I can train and run and do all of these things with no problems and difficulty. God has been so good to me and I am living in His grace and love each day. I am filled with this massive feeling of content in what I have and how God has blessed me over the years.

So today I pray for you my friend. I do not know what you need nor do I know what your problems look like and what troubles and pain you face each day, but what I do know is that the same God that loves me so much is the God that loves you equally and He will not allow you to fail. He will stand by you through everything that this life can bring and He will continue to love you regardless your mistakes. I pray that you will find your content and that you need nothing more than the love of our wonderful Lord. I pray that the Lord will bless you through your challenges and that He will give you all the strength you need to face all the battles that you are fighting. I pray that you will have a day filled with wonder and blessings.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 29 September 2015 (Day 20 – Dear Lord)

A reminder for today
Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. (Philippians 2:3-4)

I find myself in a sad place this morning. I am filled with self-pity and remorse. Yesterday my mood and determination was broken and at an all-time low. I feel that I have been self-centred and only looking out for my own self. I have forgotten what the Lord teaches and I have forgotten to be humble and I did not look out for the interests of other. I feel numb in my soul as I start my day and I realise that I have taken the Lord’s words and ignored them.

How many times are we selfish and self-centred? It is so easy to look only at our own interests and disregard the interests of other. I feel that I need to say sorry and that I need to change my focus and return home to my Lord. I need to break these chains that the world have on me. I need to fall to my knees and fully give my life to my Lord. I need to be more that this empty vessel that seems to float pointlessly on a calm ocean. I need to look up to those mountains again and I I need to remember where my help comes from.

We should stop being selfish and we should never try to impress other. We should be humble and we should think of other as more than what we are. We should look out for the interests of other more than we look out for our own interests.

So today I pray that the Lord will give us a humble heart and remove all selfishness from our lives. I pray that we will look out for other and glorify the Lord with each selfless act. I pray for forgiveness. I pray that we will forgive ourselves and forgive everyone that wronged us in our lives. I pray that the Lord will lift us up today and fill our Spirits with joy and peace. I pray for new beginnings as we start our journeys. I pray that the Lord will restore our faith and lead us to be close to Him. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

PS. I am leaving the blood moon background on this week so that I will be a symbol for us to renew our lives and our faith. Our time is running out. Don’t waste a single moment.

Today Reminder – 28 September 2015 (Day 19 – Dear Lord)

A reminder for today
A third time he asked him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, "Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you." Jesus said, "Then feed my sheep.” (John 21:17)

Thursday was a public holiday here in South Africa so I took my boys to the farm to visit their grandparents over the weekend. We had such a good time and boys loved it on the farm. They went to bed exhausted every night. Sometimes we need to get away for a moment just to recharge again. I got up this morning quite early and I went for a run. I was amazed to see the fourth blood moon so clearly as I ran. I ran facing it the whole time and I just felt that I needed to write to you about this. The end of time is coming nearer and the return of the Lord is not a distant thought anymore. The Lord is giving us all these signs so that we can be ready for His return. Time is running out and in this time who will you fear. Will you fear God that can banish you to eternal hell or will you fear man? Will you fear to stand up and be scrutinised because you worship Jesus Christ? Will you fear to make the right choice because you fear what other will say? Will you fear to give your life to Jesus because other will laugh at you?

Make a stand, because our time is running out and the Lord will return soon. Make sure that you are one of His children when He returns, for you do not want to remain on this world after that.

So today I pray that the Lord will help us to be strong so that we will remain steadfast in our faith and that we will boldly proclaim His majesty over the world. I pray that we will fear no man and that we will never fear death. I pray that we will gladly give our lives for Jesus and walk the difficult path with joy in our hearts as we worship Him. I pray that we will give our hearts to Him and Him alone so that no evil will affect us. I pray that we will stand up for Him, always. In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 24 September 2015 (Day 18 – Dear Lord)

A reminder for today

“The second is equally important: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.' No other commandment is greater than these." (Mark 12:31)

Yesterday I went to train after work. It is my second training session and it was much later than usual. I was surprised at how many people train that late at night. As I was running I realised that each one of them are almost in their own little world busy with their own thing with no regard to the other people around them. It made me realise again that we live past each other and in most cases we barely know anything about the people around us. Is this how we are supposed to love our neighbours? I would say no, because if you love someone you should take a keen interest in that person and in their lives. You should stand by them in their difficult times and laugh with them in their good times. You should support them when they need help and listen when they need an ear and an understanding heart. You should be there for them all the time.

Today I pray that the Lord will help us to be true friends. I pray that the Lord will always be visible in us to the people around us and that His kindness will reflect through us and shine on our friends. I pray that the Lord will give us an understanding heart and clear mind so that we can help and support our friends. I pray that we will love fully like Jesus does.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 23 September 2015 (Day 17 – Dear Lord)

A reminder for today
God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. (1 Peter 4:10)

Yesterday my youngest had their concert and to watch those little ones do their show on stage in front of all the parents was just awesome. They are so cute at this age and some of them are quite the young actors. It was so much fun and it made me realise again that God made us so different from each other and so unique. Each one of us is given the correct tools to do what God designed us to do. Each one of us crafted perfectly for His glory. Use your talents to honour God and sever one another. God has given you these talents to explore them, grow then and perfect them.

So today I pray that the Lord will change us to be like little children. So that we are not affected by this world and all of its darkness but instead that we will find joy in everything we do and accept like they accept and make the little things important again, like a hug and a smile. I pray that the Lord will let us be fearless and without worries as these little kids are so that we will trust Him completely and live life for each moment.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
