Today - 30 November 2011

Today

Thank you Lord for using my imperfect life to tell other of a perfect God,
Thank you for holding us tightly folded in your hands,
Thank you for moments of joy and moments of sorrow,
Thank you for drying my tears when I am sad and when I am in awe of You,
Thank you for the people in my life both good and bad,
Thank you for the freedom I find in your son,
Thank you Lord for being my best friend…

Today Reminder - 30 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that you will continue to rely on the grace of God as you follow Him and obey Him and that you will know you are declared right with God. In Jesus Name.

Acts 13

22 But God removed Saul and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said, 'I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. He will do everything I want him to do.'

38 "Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins.39 Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God—something the law of Moses could never do.

43 Many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, and the two men urged them to continue to rely on the grace of God.

A man after my own heart, he will do everything I want Him to do. This is probably one of the things that God said about David that remained in my head. Reading that in Acts and seeing how Paul and all the apostles continued to spread the word of God through dangerous and hard times. It gives you a little insight to how God wants us to be. You see David did not fear, he did not stand back and he certainly did not hide his faith.

Now firstly: For believing in Jesus and accepting Him as you saviour you are made right with God and then secondly, God wants you to become a man/woman after His heart by doing everything He wants you to do. Standing firm on your faith and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide you to do what God needs you to do. And thirdly, rely on God’s grace

Everything in our life has a purpose and that purpose in the end will glorify God. Set your eyes on Him and let us face this day with confidence. God is with us, who can be against us.

Cloudy skies over South Africa, cool and rainy days ahead!

Have a super day friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder - 29 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that the Lord will break loose the chains of this world that bounds you and that you will feel His hand at work in your life.

Acts 12:6-8
The night before Peter was to be placed on trial, he was asleep, fastened with two chains between two soldiers. Others stood guard at the prison gate. Suddenly, there was a bright light in the cell, and an angel of the Lord stood before Peter. The angel struck him on the side to awaken him and said, "Quick! Get up!" And the chains fell off his wrists. Then the angel
told him, "Get dressed and put on your sandals." And he did. "Now put on your coat and follow me," the angel ordered.

God is in control. Peter’s escape from prison is just one of those miracles that leave you without words. I said earlier that reading Acts has been a humbling experience, but this is just amazing again. One cannot help to think what happened in that prison sell when those soldiers woke up the next day. Soldiers are trained to be prepared for attacks at any time, but a mere fisherman escaped their custody while sleeping between them. In our life this is a career breaker. The way God freed Peter is just how God is. You see I am sure Peter did not expect a prison break, because he was not prepared. I guess that this happens in our lives almost daily. We pray but we do not expect. Jesus said that whatever we ask in His name, He will give us. It is what we ask and what our purpose is for what we ask. If God can break Peter out of prison He surely can break you out of your bonds.

If you are bound by problems or sin or troubles that are keeping your heart closed to God, then it is time that you trust God. And for this I will say: “Quick! Get up! Get dressed and follow me.” God is going to free you from your chains and use you to testify and glorify Him. You will remain in my prayers and together with God we will overcome it all.

Another day created just for you.

Have an awesome day!

Cheers

Thought for today (Monday 28 November)

Thought I’ll share what the Holy Spirit placed on my heart this morning with you. So if you have a few moments read through my thoughts.

Acts 9
35 Then the whole population of Lydda and Sharon saw Aeneas walking around, and they turned to the Lord.
42 The news spread through the whole town, and many believed in the Lord.

Firstly reading Acts again has been a humbling experience. The way Peter and the apostles trust God and boldly spreading the word of God. This specific instance where Peter firstly heals Aeneas by simply saying:
4 Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you! Get up, and roll up your sleeping mat!" And he was healed instantly.

Then Peter was called to Joppa where Tabitha (Dorcas) was already dead.
40 But Peter asked them all to leave the room; then he knelt and prayed. Turning to the body he said, "Get up, Tabitha." And she opened her eyes! When she saw Peter, she sat up!

What really struck me was the result of each miracle. When Peter healed Aeneas the whole population of Lydia and Sharon turned to God and with the raising of Tabitha many in that town believed and turned to God.

So what I am trying to say to you is that with each moment you take time for other in your life you will change many. Take a moment and place God first and the results will be miraculous.

Hope you have an awesome day.

Today Reminder - 28 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that you will remain strong through your trials on earth and that you will know there is a wonderful inheritance in eternal life. In Jesus Name.

1 Peter 1:4-7
Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.
So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Life is but a moment. When you are in an accident you are almost instantly reminded of how fragile life is. It is in these tests and trails that God will be glorified by our faith. I love how Peter reminds us that our inheritance is kept in heaven beyond the reach of change and decay. Each one of us is entitled to this inheritance, and above all we will share in it while living eternally with God. So I will quote Peter on this: “So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while.”

Let us stand strong today as we face whatever comes our way, and let us smile and trust God and know that through our trials we glorify Him.

More rain over Africa. So nice!

Have an awesome day, friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 25 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is one of encouragement. God is using you wherever you are and whoever you are, believe it. May the Lord give you strength and wisdom so that you will be able to withstand all the difficulties that lie ahead. In Jesus name,

Acts 9:15-16
But the Lord said, "Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel. And I will show him how much he must suffer for my name's sake."

I am an instrument of God. The story of Paul is amazing, but stories like that happens all around us every day. God uses the most unlikely to do the most amazing. No matter who you are, what you did or where you are, God can use you and He will use you. Just look at me, I was surely on the wrong way heading to disaster and here I am filled with the Holy Spirit writing to you to encourage you.  You are much more than you think, and where you are you have been strategically placed for God’s purpose. I just love this in Philippians 2:13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.
God will show you what to do and He will tell you what to say. My dear friend, God is and will use you and you are where you are for His purpose.

Rain plus cooler days, South Africa is such a beautiful country.

Have an awesome day friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 24 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is one of forgiveness. I pray that you will be forgiven and that you will forgive any wrong that was done to you so that you will be free to enjoy God’s love. In Jesus name.

Acts 7:59-60
As they stoned him, Stephen prayed, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." He fell to his knees, shouting, "Lord, don't charge them with this sin!" And with that, he died.

Forgiveness frees a captive mind. Wow, Stephen, wow again. When Jesus was crucified He also asked God to forgive those that did it because they did not know what they were doing. Forgiveness not only frees the debt but also the forgiver. It is so easy to remember the wrongs that people did to us and so hard to remember the good they did. For God to forgive us we must forgive. Our challenge today is to not only forgive but to forget. Remember the good and erase the bad. Satan loves it when we keep a grudge, because that gives him a hold in our lives. Let us show the heart of Jesus as He gave His life and forgave His persecutors.  Forgive and forget and be free…

More rain, wow! I just love it.

Have an awesome day friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 23 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that you will not be overwhelmed and depressed in difficult times but that you will rise and trust God. In Jesus name.

Acts 5:40-42
The others accepted his advice. They called in the apostles and had them flogged. Then they ordered them never again to speak in the name of Jesus, and they let them go.
The apostles left the high council rejoicing that God had counted them worthy to suffer disgrace for the name of Jesus. And every day, in the Temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: "Jesus is the Messiah."

God does not make mistakes. I can’t remember that being punished as a child that it was nice. In fact it wasn’t a pleasant experience. And it is one thing being punished for doing something wrong, and another thing for being punished for trying to do the right thing. It is so easy for us to be angry when we are mistreated, bullied, blamed, laughed at, joked about, ignored, ill, etc. Yet when I read this part in Acts and I read they were flogged and then I got to the part where they rejoiced about it, I stopped and I had to read it again. Jesus said that we will suffer, because He suffered. Yet they rejoiced about it. That brought me to this: “God does not make mistakes!” He will use whatever you face to His glory and for His purpose. You must not give up. Remain faithful and trust Him. You must never be ashamed of following Jesus, you must be proud of it. You are part of the kingdom of God. You are part of His ultimate plan. So let us REJOICE!

Listening to the thunder and the rain made me remember that there are greater things at work around us.

Have a great day, friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 22 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is one of healing. May the Lord heal the areas of your life where it is needed today, whether it is sickness or personal or relationships, I pray that you will find healing in these places. In Jesus name.

Acts 5:15
As a result of the apostles' work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter's shadow might fall across some of them as he went by.

You can move mountains. Jesus said in His teachings that we will do greater things than He did, the problem is we don’t believe that. We are to consumed by our own troubles that we forget God is the one that can change all that. Are you going through troubled times, or are you in a place where your faith is tested? Sometimes we need to go through tough places so that we can be brought closer to God. In difficult times we are drawn closer to God. The important thing is that we must learn from this. We must try and stay in that relationship with God. When you read through Acts and you see the amazing things Peter and the apostles did, their faith and their boldness. When they were threatened they did not stop, no the prayed for more courage. Take you troubles to God and turn to Him. Ask Him for courage and trust Him. He will answer.

Rain over South Africa, I just love the smell.

Have an awesome day.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 21 November 2011

My prayer for you today is that the Lord will guide you through whatever you face and that you will walk again in renewed faith.

Acts 3:15-16
You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. And we are witnesses of this fact!
"Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed—and you know how crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus' name has healed him before your very eyes.

Jesus changes people. I just love this miracle of Peter as he and John went to the temple. What is so awesome about it is the way he did it. He said to the man, “We don’t have any money, but I will give you what I have. In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, get up and walk!” And he helped him up and the man was healed. It is not the physical or material things that we give that changes lives, but it is Jesus in us that we share with the world that will change people. Let us be bold today and let other see Jesus through our lives.

Rain! How awesome. It cleans and brings life. Rain on those around you.

Have a super duper day!

Cheers

Today Reminder - 18 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that the Lord will be your guide, your hope and your tower of refuge.

Psalm 16:7-8
I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.

The Lord is with me always and forever. I just love how David wrote this: “I will not be shaken”. If we look back at how David loved God and how God was with him through his life and through all his victories one cannot stop and wonder. If God is with me, and yes He is the same God, will I not be able to stand firm my ground and look giants in the eye. Will I also say: “I will not be shaken”, will I be faithful in whatever comes across my way. I think we forget to easily. In our lives and I can testify out of mine, God does some truly amazing things. He guides and helps us through these troubles and when we face new ones again we have already forgotten those we’ve been through. God was and is and will always be, right beside you.

Cloudy skies over Africa, looking forward to a rainy day.

Have an awesome weekend!

Cheers

Today Reminder - 17 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that your trust in the Lord will be strengthened as you face the obstacles that lie ahead.

Romans 12:6 and 12
God has given us each the ability to do certain things well.
Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and always be prayerful.

God has already planned my life. Is it not amazing to know that your life was already planned and designed by God even before you were born? What Paul writes here in Romans is so true, each one of us has been given the ability to do certain things well. You are given the ability do specific things to the glory of God. It might feel to you that what you do is not important and that your gifts might not be as spectacular as those of other, but believe me when I say it is in the small things that God sometimes bring out the most amazing results. Do not think that you are not important. Your role in this ever-changing world is even more important now than ever before. Be glad for all that God is planning for you and be patient. You will look back one day and realize how God used you for His purpose in all that you are facing right now. Everything has a purpose in our lives, just trust God.

Clear blue skies and another beautiful day in Africa.

Have an awesome day!

Cheers

Ending John

As we reach the end of the forth gospel, I have a few last thoughts to leave with you and few verses that just stands out.
Here they are:

John 18:8-9
"I told you that I AM he," Jesus said. "And since I am the one you want, let these others go." He did this to fulfil his own statement: "I did not lose a single one of those you have given me."

John 18:36-37
Jesus answered, "My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world."
Pilate said, "So you are a king?"
Jesus responded, "You say I am a king. Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true."

John 19:11
Then Jesus said, "You would have no power over me at all unless it were given to you from above. So the one who handed me over to you has the greater sin."

John 20:22
Then he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit

John 20:29
Then Jesus told him, "You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me."

At the end of this it is so clear that what Jesus did on the cross for each of us was out of love. At any moment He could call on His armies and end His torture, but He chose to remain in it for our sake. He also clearly mentions earlier in

John 16:6-7:
Instead, you grieve because of what I've told you. But in fact, it is best for you that I go away, because if I don't, the Advocate won't come. If I do go away, then I will send him to you.

He had to go so that He can send the Holy Spirit to us. Reading the crucifixion and the resurrection again just brought back that overwhelming feeling of God’s amazing love for us and again returned my focus to myself and how often I am angered and upset with people around me. Once again I was just humbled before an everlasting and all powerful God and I was reminded of my purpose. I am here for His glory and I can change people by just listening to God. God is in me as I am in in Him. Why do we constantly struggle with this purpose, and why do we find it so easy to place our needs ahead of those around us.

Dear Father God, please will you fill our hearts anew with your love and open our eyes to see the need around us. Let you be glorified in everything we attempt and do today. Teach us how to love you more, in Jesus name.

Today Reminder - 16 November 2011 (God is in us)

My prayer for you for today is that the Lord will reveal Himself to you in every situation you face and that you will know He is in you and you are in Him.

John 17:20-26
"I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.
"I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me. Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!
"O righteous Father, the world doesn't know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me. I have revealed you to them, and I will continue to do so. Then your love for me will be in them, and I will be in them."

God is in us. In His prayer Jesus mentions that He is in the Father and the Father in Him, but also says that He is us. This to me means that if Jesus is in the Father and He is in me, then I am in Him and I am in the Father. Wow! What a thought! This means that God is constantly in us as Jesus is in Him. This takes the previous thoughts we had that we are not alone to an entirely new dimension. When you accepted Jesus as you saviour and you asked God to fill you with His holy spirit you are directly placed in a position that I think we forget. God is in you and in everything you do. You must think of it like this: You might be the only bible some will ever read. Therefore it is so important that we do not lose focus and that we stay the course. When we start touching lives, we will change cities. Just think of the possibilities. God loves all of us and each one deserves to know Jesus. The choice will be their choice not our choice. Let God renew you today and ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit so that we can know where He needs us.

John 20:29
Then Jesus told him, "You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me."

Clear blue skies and a promise of rain, it will be a great day!

Enjoy!

Cheers.

Today Reminder - 15 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that you will have a day filled with happiness and joy and that you will come to know that Jesus has already overcome this world and that your worries and struggles will shrink in the presence of the Lord.

John 16:33
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

I am free in Jesus. Jesus wants us to remember a very important thing when He says that He already overcame this world. In other words, He defeated the powers of this world and by that the devil and his followers. But He again mentions that we will face many trails and sorrows, because that is what the enemy does. He will continuously attack us on daily basis to let us lose focus and faith. Today Jesus wants us to remember that in all that we may face He has already overcome it and that we must place our trust and faith in Him and allow Him to bring a solution for the glory of God. Then the world will know
He is God and God is with you.

Another day made for the glory of God.

Have an awesome day.

Cheers

If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first

John 15:18-19
"If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.

This is a very important message Jesus gave His disciples, He said here that you must remember if the world hates you, it hated Him first. Here lies the challenge that we face daily. It is not nice to be rejected nor is it to be excluded. So you go through life trying to fit in. The hard part is that the world is so corrupted by the enemy that in most cases you will find yourself being challenged to fit in to the wrong crowd. And yes we fall and we are influenced by these people to make the wrong choices. Jesus loves you so much that He will never ever give up on you. He never gave up on me and I was in some pretty bad places. He pulled me out of the darkness and back into the light. The problem now is that you are always challenged to return, this is where we make our choice and remain in the Lord. Once you chose Him you will immediately feel how the world rejects you. It is in these moments where this verse has helped me countless times. You see the Lord was crucified by people that followed Him, I even think some of those called Him friend and yet they turned against Him when they were challenged by the leaders of that time. Their choice sends Him to the cross. So when you are down and out because you chose Jesus, remember the world hated Him first. I pray that the Lord will give you wisdom whenever you are faced with the challenges of this world and that you will overcome it.

Today Reminder - 14 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that you will know the Lord is with you and together you can produce much fruit to the glory God.

John 15:5-8
"Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

Producing fruit changes lives. The Lord calls us to bear fruit, to carry His words out to the world and change people. We can only achieve this if we remain in Him and Him in us. The Lord clearly mentions here that apart from Him we can do nothing. He changes the person, we are only the messenger. Therefore it is so important that you listen to the Holy Spirit, He tells you what the Lord wants you to hear and where you must be and even what you must say. We are continuously challenged by circumstances to lose that trust in the Lord. The world and the devil do not want us to hear God’s voice. The world wants to corrupt you so that you do not bear fruit. This is where you must stand firm in the Lord, put your trust in Him and spend time with Him. With Him all things are possible and nothing will be able to come between you. Focus today on the Holy Spirit and ask Him to show you the way God wants you to go. Remember you are not alone.

Rain brings clear skies.

It’s going to be an awesome day!

Cheers

Today Reminder - 11 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that you will be peaceful, and that you will be filled with happiness, strength and courage. I pray that you will know that Jesus loves you and that He only wants the best for you.

John 14:6
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

The road to Jesus is not an easy one. To be a Christian is not an easy task, especially in the world that we live in with all the temptations and problems we may face. Jesus says here that He alone is the way. This is one of the most important things that you must remember in your daily live. That is why it is so important that you surrender your worries to Him. This to me is so important, because whatever you may face today and however difficult it can be. Knowing that you have Jesus and He is the way to the Father brings joy in difficult times. It is the life and the world that lies beyond this one that we must live for. When all of this is over, you will spend eternity in the presence of an amazing God, living free from everything that you see now and that could possibly worry you. You are saved and by accepting Jesus you have been made right in God’s sight. So whatever we face today, it is only temporary.

Hey, hey it’s Friday! Have an awesome day and enjoy your weekend.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 10 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that you love each other like Jesus loves you.

John 13:34-35
So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples."

Love can change the world. The love Jesus has for us took Him to the cross as He sacrificed himself so that a world can change. When we love each other and we start to spread this love and stop judging other we will begin to change lives. Not only will you impact on people but you will change, your whole being will change. It is far better to give than to receive and giving love and friendship is the easiest one. Let’s start with small steps, because even small steps have big results. Start with those closest and then those at work and then those you don’t even know. Through our love for other the world will see Jesus in us.

Have an awesome day!

Cheers

Today Reminder - 09 November 2011

My prayer for you for today, is that the Lord will keep you save in His hands, and that you will not stumble or fall.

Psalm 37:23-24
The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.

The Lord is with us always and forever. He will never leave you, Jesus is constantly with us and in us. We are at fault when we say that God has left us, this is one of the most common techniques used by the enemy. The devil wants you to think that you are alone, he can’t succeed when your focus is on Jesus. He wants you to think that you are alone and that God is not with you. You see God loves you so much that He is with you regardless of what you have done. All that He wants is that you surrender your troubles to Him and that you will place your heart and trust in Him. Then no one and nothing will be able to misguide you. Let’s trust the Lord with everything that you are facing today, no matter how high this obstacle might be. God will help you for His glory so that other can see that He is God.

Feeling the warm rays of the sun in your face is a reminder of how close the Lord always is.

Have a great day!

Cheers

Today Reminder - 08 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that you will accept and hear God’s guidance.

John 10:9-10
Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.
The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

Jesus is the only way. Jesus made it quite clear in this section of John that He is the gatekeeper, the real shepherd. It is in Him that we find our purpose in life. You see we were made to worship God and give Him glory, and not ourselves. Once you have found that purpose and you understand what it is you must do for God, you will suddenly find that you are in good pastures and that rich and satisfying life is a life filled with Jesus. He is the light and He is the way. Let’s ask the Lord to reveal His purpose to us and give us the strength to continue and pursue this purpose for His glory.

Another beautiful day made by God.

Have an awesome day!

Cheers.

Today Reminder - 07 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that the light of Jesus in you will clear away the darkness and that you will be free from it to enjoy every moment of this day.

John 8:12
Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, "I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life."

The light of Jesus leads to eternal life. When we travel through this life alone we are often overwhelmed by darkness. The enemy wants us to lose focus of Jesus and change that focus to the immediate world and troubles that we have. You see the Devil does not want you to receive eternal life, he wants you to be controlled by this world. When you are in troubled times and you are facing major challenges, don’t lose focus. Jesus said it clearly here that when you follow Him, you will not walk in darkness. You will know that this is only for a short while, and a much better life lies ahead. Place you focus on Jesus and follow Him and see the darkness disappear.

Today will be a great day!

Cheers

Today Reminder - 04 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that you will stand firm and not give up.

Galatians 6:8-10
Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.

To listen to the Spirit is to hear the heart of God. There are so many times in our lives that we feel lost and that we feel the challenges of life is becoming too great for us. We feel that what we do has no effect and why should we continue doing it. Why can’t we just carry on like everyone else? Paul saw this in his time and wrote about it, funny thing is, his advice is still so valuable in our daily life today. What he says here is so important, God works on a canvass far greater that what we can ever comprehend and our small part in this big masterpiece is so important. Paul wrote that we will receive the right blessings at the right time. So when you look at this day and all that lies ahead of you, stand firm with the Holy Spirit as your guide and you will see the right blessings at the right time. Don’t give up, you are in my prayers every day and God will never leave you. Let’s take this day and give it to God.

Have an awesome day!

Cheers

Today reminder - 03 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that you will seek and find Jesus and that your faith will be renewed in Him.

John 6:27
But you shouldn’t be concerned about perishable things like food. Spend your energy seeking the eternal life that I, the Son of Man, can give you. For God the Father has sent me for that very purpose.

This world is temporary. Trying to concern yourself with the day to day worries of this world is time that you waste that can bring you closer to God. Jesus mentions it a few times in scripture that we must not worry about tomorrow nor should we be concerned about things like food. He says that we must seek the Kingdom of God. It is merely because He knows what the end result of our struggles is. He knows that heaven is the result that we must focus on and that we must praise God for every little thing that happens in our lives. Worrying is so natural, because the world that we live in is so concerned about their possessions and their positions that they are trying to be God. This is the easiest method the devil uses to take our joy in Jesus away and to disrupt our faith. Take today and place your primary focus on Jesus and bring your worries to Him and glorify God for taking them away when they disappear. Make  God the centre of every moment, and the result will be far greater than you can ever imagine.

Cooler days bring greater joys.

Have an awesome day.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 02 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that the Lord will uplift you, give you peace, strengthen you, protect you and stand by you throughout this day.

Psalm 97:10
You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked.

The Lord never sleeps, and will never leave you. When we start spending more time with God and we listen to the Holy Spirit in us, we become almost immune to the evil of this world. Don’t get me wrong, the battle continues and we face trials everyday but the resistance of these temptations become more tolerable when we continuously restore our focus on God. He will protect you and He wants you to succeed against the odds. We must just stop trying to stand alone. I want you to acknowledge to yourself and proclaim it against all that stands against you today that you are not alone and that Jesus has already defeated the enemy and that you are a child of God. He will not let you fall, turn to Him in this day in every moment of temptation that you will face and when He restores and uplifts you, He will be glorified and the world will now that He is God.

Another beautiful day has arrived, enjoy every moment.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 01 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that you will be blessed in this day in such a way that you will rejoice in the Lord and that you will have joy in your heart all day long.

Psalm 108:1-5 and 13
My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart!
Wake up, lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song. I will thank you, Lord, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations. For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens.
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth.

With God's help we will do mighty things, for He will trample down our foes.

Jesus brings joy to those with heartache, He will take away your burden and lighten your load. But we must carry His cross and lead those that are ready for the harvest, to the kingdom of God. Let us rejoice in this day for all the amazing and wonderful things God has already done for us. Let us take a moment and reflect on all our blessings. God blesses us so that we can bless those that does not know Him or has fallen from Him. Let us sing His praises and with that influence those that is searching in finding Jesus. Always remember:  With God's help we will do mighty things.

Today will be a glorious day!

Cheers
