Today Reminder - 01 November 2011

My prayer for you for today is that you will be blessed in this day in such a way that you will rejoice in the Lord and that you will have joy in your heart all day long.

Psalm 108:1-5 and 13
My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart!
Wake up, lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song. I will thank you, Lord, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations. For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens.
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth.

With God's help we will do mighty things, for He will trample down our foes.

Jesus brings joy to those with heartache, He will take away your burden and lighten your load. But we must carry His cross and lead those that are ready for the harvest, to the kingdom of God. Let us rejoice in this day for all the amazing and wonderful things God has already done for us. Let us take a moment and reflect on all our blessings. God blesses us so that we can bless those that does not know Him or has fallen from Him. Let us sing His praises and with that influence those that is searching in finding Jesus. Always remember:  With God's help we will do mighty things.

Today will be a glorious day!

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
