My prayer for you for today is that you will accept and
hear God’s guidance.

10:9-10
Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be
saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.
The
thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a
rich and satisfying life.
Jesus is the only way. Jesus made it quite clear in this
section of John that He is the gatekeeper, the real shepherd. It is in Him that
we find our purpose in life. You see we were made to worship God and give Him
glory, and not ourselves. Once you have found that purpose and you understand
what it is you must do for God, you will suddenly find that you are in good
pastures and that rich and satisfying life is a life filled with Jesus. He is
the light and He is the way. Let’s ask the Lord to reveal His purpose to us and
give us the strength to continue and pursue this purpose for His glory.
