Today Reminder – 08 December 2014 (Day 6 – A King)

A reminder for today
I am taking some time off my friend and will write to you again once I have returned from my journey. I often wonder where we are when we do not recognize the face looking back at us in the mirror. Life can often throw a few bumps in our direction and break a few dreams, yet we should remain focussed and faithful in Jesus. He knows best and His way is the right way. When we continue to follow His loving voice we will never be disappointed.

So I leave you with this last message. As they approached, Jesus said, "Now here is a genuine son of Israel—a man of complete integrity." "How do you know about me?" Nathanael asked. Jesus replied, "I could see you under the fig tree before Philip found you." Then Nathanael exclaimed, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God—the King of Israel!" (John 1:47-49)

As Christmas approach and the year finally comes to an end we are about to celebrate the birth of our saviour and King. If you have forgotten what it is all about and you are lost in your own troubles, here are my thoughts about that. Jesus said that He saw Nathanael when He was still under the fig tree. To me this means that Jesus saw you way before you came to Him. He loved you first and He watched you when you were still on your way to Him. You might feel a little lost some times but these are the times when you feel alone when Jesus is watching you, waiting for you. Just as He gave up His life for you He still stand each day watching you and calling out to you to come to Him.

Come and let us stand up from under our fig trees and walk up to Jesus. You are no stranger to Him. He knows who you really are and who you are supposed to be. He will guide you on your way so that you can reach your true identity in Him. You are a child of God and a friend of Jesus. Live it!!

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 05 December 2014 (Day 5 – A King)

A reminder for today
Even if the forest should be destroyed and the city torn down, the LORD will greatly bless his people. Wherever they plant seed, bountiful crops will spring up. Their cattle and donkeys will graze freely. (Isaiah 32:19-20)

I am standing on a crumbling floor. Below me is an active volcano exploding with burst of lava that is scattered around me. It is dark and all I see is the red and yellow flames that is about to destroy me. All around me is devastation and destruction. I feel the heat on my face as sweat drips from my chin and simmers as it falls on the warm ground. I go down on my knees and I feel the warm earth in my hands. I lift my head looking up to the mountains around me and suddenly the Lord touches my shoulder. Around me in the midst of all of this destruction the ground sprouts up little plants and water burst out of the ground fertilizing all the plants producing a mighty crop.

In this season of joy you will see the Lord turn destruction into blessing and pain into joy. You will see bountiful crops spring up wherever you go as the Lord blesses His people. He will turn the celebrations away from the worldly back to Him as we watch with unbelief at His miraculous wonder.

You will never look back when you follow Jesus. He will bless you when you least expect it, because His time is perfect and always correct.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 04 December 2014 (Day 4 – A King)

A reminder for today
But the people of God will sing a song of joy, like the songs at the holy festivals. You will be filled with joy, as when a flutist leads a group of pilgrims to Jerusalem, the mountain of the LORD—to the Rock of Israel. (Isaiah 30:29)

Oh how I long for the day when the people of the Lord will return to Him in their thousands and make Christmas a celebration where we celebrate Jesus and not some old dude in a red suit. I believe that we can change this world. We can change the way people think by changing the way we think. Jesus is alive and alive in us. Let His light be the light that we shine this Christmas so that all the darkness will disappear and people will see again the true meaning of Christmas. Let us walk out and into the streets with celebrations as we celebrate Jesus in everything. Let us give the real gift of Christmas by giving Jesus to those who forgot and is now missing the joy of Jesus Christ. My friend, you will be filled with joy - an unbreakable joy that will impact not only this Christmas but many to come.

Let us turn to Jesus and make Christmas all about Him. He is my rock and my solid ground. He is the wind in my wings as I soar for His glory, because with Him we do not walk, we fly high above the challenges of this world. Jesus is my King. He is all I want for Christmas.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 03 December 2014 (Day 3 – A King)

A reminder for today
O LORD our God, others have ruled us, but you alone are the one we worship. (Isaiah 26:13)

He sits at the right hand of God. “But from now on the Son of Man will be seated in the place of power at God's right hand." (Luke 22:69) He is the one who we worship and the only one we lift our hands to and bend our knees. In Him we find unlimited strength with which we face all the powers of darkness and stand in the midst of our storms with our hands stretched out to Him. There is no other like Him nor will there ever be. He pleads our case and believes in us. He loves us unconditionally and completely. His blood broke the chains of death and sin and He gave us life where we would have had death. He lifts us up and carries us through our hard times and difficult days. He alone is the one we worship.

Come with me today as we lift up our hands to the King in worship. Let us celebrate His birth with joy and let our joy carry on and into all those around us. Let this turn into a chain reaction that will spread all over and turn the hearts of all to Him so that every knee will bow down and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 02 December 2014 (Day 2 – A King)

A reminder for today
Open the gates to all who are righteous; allow the faithful to enter. (Isaiah 26:2)

The Lord is our tower of refuge and our place of safety. Jesus is our fortress and He surrounds us with His love keeping us safe against the enemy. He is above us and below us and around us and in us. He is in our blood. He is our breath and the air that pulses through us. He is life. He is the life that flow through us and the life that we share. He is the life in our hands and the life that we create and protect and love. He is the way. He is the way we live and the way we walk. He is the path we follow and the direction we use to steer our lives. He is the light. He is the very light that burns in our darkness and the light that shines from within us. He is the light we follow like a ship in a storm. He is our strength. He is the power that lives in us and the strength that keeps us going. He is the walls that protect us and the health in our bodies. He is our cure and our antidote. He is our joy. He is in our laughs and in our smiles. He is the content that we feel and the happiness in our souls. He is the jump in our walk and the dance in our feet. He is forever. He is and was and will always be. Let us praise His name as we enter His gates in the season of joy. Let us bring joy wherever we go and whomever we meet. Let us laugh more and sing more and dance more.

Yes, let the faithful enter.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
