A
reminder for today
At
the end of the ten days, Daniel and his three friends looked healthier and
better nourished than the young men who had been eating the food assigned by
the king. (Daniel 1:15)
Daniel did not want to eat the food that the king
provided. He was determined not to defile himself so he spoke to the chief of
staff and asked him that they will allow them not to eat this. The attendant
was afraid that if the four men looked paler and thinner than the rest, that he
would be killed. So Daniel said that he should put them on a test for ten days
and let them eat only vegetables and drink water and after the ten day he can
decide. So at the end of the ten days they looked healthier than the men who
ate the king’s food.
This is what the Lord wants to remind you today. He wants
you to know that when you take a stand for Him He will bless everything you do.
The Lord wants us to remember that it is not an easy life that we chose but we
will see great victories when we stay committed to Him and follow His voice and
path. We may have chosen a difficult path but in the end we will be much better
than those who took the easy way out. Remember that God’s time is different to
our time and that He will give us all we need at the right time.
Lord, today we want to realign our ways with your ways so
that we can remain solid as we stand firmly on your foundation. Let us stand up
for you and fight for you. In Jesus name.
Let every knee bow down and every voice declare that
Jesus Christ is the Lord.
