Today's thought - 31 December 2025

Hebrews 11 starts with the words “Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen”. Then Paul writes it is impossible to please God without faith. Faith in God and the fear of God is imperative in our walk with God. 

As we seek Him and desire more of Him we need to have faith in Him and His works. It is by this child like faith that we see more of God, hear more from God, receive more and live more. It is by our faith that we are set apart from a world who seeks only its own needs and its own glory. It is by our faith that we stay clear of evil seek what is right and live righteously. 

When we sincerely seek God, He rewards us. In this reward is life and life in abundance and all the promises in His Word. God rewards faith and as James says faith without works is dead. Thus having faith and believing in God and His Word makes us bold to walk through our valleys and share His gospel by words, actions and the way we live. Therefore delight in the Lord and seek Him always and He will show you His ways and pull you closer to Him.

Isaiah writes in chapter 33 “The fear of the Lord will be your treasure.” David says that God’s unfailing love toward those that fear Him is as great as the heavens above the earth. John Bevere writes that there are two kinds of fears. Good and destructive fear. Bad fears is like the fear of falling of a cliff or burning your hand over an open fire. If this type of fear rules us we will never go for a walk or cook something. 

The fear of God is not the type where we are afraid of Him that He will destroy us. It is the reverent fear of respect to live our lives in such a way that we make Him proud. The fear of doing something wrong that will grieve the Holy Spirit. The fear of sin and to walk away from sin out of love, respect and fear of God. 

This is why Isaiah says the fear of the Lord is your treasure. In this lies healing, strength, victory, content, wisdom, forgiveness, repent and complete salvation. It is so important that we fully comprehend this and live by it. My dear friend, I might come back to this a few times because it is vital that we understand and apply this principle in our lives so that we can live in the abundance of God’s grace.

The world is a place filled with temptation and ungodly things. Everywhere we go all that is displayed and deemed good is designed to either entrap you or to steel your life in Christ from you. Many seek the material world above the Spiritual one for it is easier and more tempting. It is the way of the world and so many are trapped in it, so it has become the norm. 

Paul writes that we should be content with what we have and our current position for God has made it clear that He will never leave us nor forsake us. Being content is to trust God’s all-sufficiency. This promise that God will never leave us nor forsake us is spoken a number of times but significantly to Joshua as he entered the promise land. 

The image I have is as we stand before this new season, this new year. We are about to enter into our promised land. We are about to enter into God’s promises and we are going to experience Him in a way that will leave us speechless. As He prepares the way and goes before us we shall see giants fall and the walls of Jericho come down. 

He will split the waters for us to enter without resistance and He will defeat our enemies before us. He will be our helper and all fear will be removed from our hearts. Those who are against us will stand powerless because God is for us.

Jesus is the foundation of all saving grace, who came to earth to reveal God’s saving truth to fallen mankind. When John called Jesus “the Word”, he implied that Jesus not only brings us a message from God but He, Himself is the message. 

His message is the very light that outshines the darkness and reveals the truth. In Him lies true salvation and forgiveness. It is by this amazing grace that we set free and is set free. Our pasts died with Him and we are reborn in Him. He made all things and makes old things new. In Him is life and life in abundance. Through Him we have life an eternal life. 

By Him we have victory an everlasting victory. With Him we have purpose a life changing people driven focus setting mind renewing purpose. By Him we have been washed clean and stand in all the promises of God’s Word who He is and by His Holy Spirit we are directed on our journey and guided in the truth to have eternal life.

Today I feel that I need to remind you that those of us who fears God out of respect and love will see His covenant. His ways and His will, will be revealed to us through the Holy Spirit. It is important that we submit to God’s will even before we know it. 

We will find that He will fulfil His promises according to His rich mercy and unfailing love and unchanging truth. If we fear Him, He will lead us. To fear Him is to factor Him into every thought and every situation, to live in the reality of God. It is not a terror that keeps us distant from Him, but a friendship that brings us under His intimate guidance. 

Jesus lived in daily dependance and reverence for His Father, seeking to do His will because it was His will. That is why we should seek God’s will and guidance with a hunger as the deer longs for streams of water so must we long for intimacy with God and a desire to do His will.

We worship an amazing and wonderful God. A loving Father and a fortress in times of trouble. How wonderful His love and how great His mercy. How amazing is this wonderful God and how vast is His blessings. We are in the season where the world knowingly and unknowingly celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. 

How amazing is God that even in a fallen and broken world He creates a time of light so that many who do not know Him might meet Him. So, come with me, my friend and let us open the gates and invite people to meet Jesus Christ. Who is He? He is the king of glory. The way and the truth and the life. He is the answer in all our battles and the solution to all our troubles. He is eternal and never changes. 

He is the light of the world and the one who took all the sin of the world on Him. He is my strength and my joy. He is my victory and my hope. He is the king of glory and invincible in battle. No weapon formed against you will prosper and no mountain is too big for Him. No problem too small or too great. No pain too deep and no person too lost. Let us celebrate what He has done for us and will still do and share Him with everyone we meet.

For unto us a child is born. A saviour, a redeemer, a Messiah. He came to set the captives free and give victory to those oppressed. He came to lighten our burdens and give forgiveness of sin. He came to set us on the path towards righteousness and complete content. 

He came so that we can live and live abundantly. He is the very light to my feet and my salvation. Even though I walk in the valley of death, I will not fear. He is my fortress and place of safety protecting me from all evil. No weapon formed against me will prosper and I will dwell in the house of my Father forever. 

My dear friend, may you be fully and completely blessed this Christmas so that your story will be a story of victory and hope. May the very light of our Saviour, Jesus Christ shine in and before you. May His love overflow in you and may His salvation free you from all your battles. May His grace and love flow over you and may your house be blessed and anointed.

Here in Ezekiel God’s anger is poured out on Israel. They turned away from God and worshipped idols. God is not interested in the prayers of those who cling to their idols in their hearts and worship Him on Sunday and has zero faithfulness on Monday. God despises the study of the Bible without obedience to the Bible. 

He will always save sinners but only those repenting of sin. He will not save sinners in a way that profanes His name. When Israel’s sin provoked the Lord to anger, He saved them for the sake of His name. His works is aimed at the goal that the world will know He is the Lord. God will save people from His anger when they repent so that they can know He is God and that the world will know He is God. 

In essence the heart of God loves His creation. He will always try to save a person instead to let them perish. It is our own hearts and our own choices that removes us from His grace and set us on a course of destruction. Yet even then God will use your demise to show Him to you. That is why Jesus said that we should love our enemies. 

In the end we who are hated or attacked by someone is the very light they need to see as we remain rooted in Jesus so that His glory can be the light that shines through us and lead the fallen back to God.

I love how the passion translation puts these verses here in Philippians 4. Paul writes here that we should not be distracted by all the vices that the enemy throws at you. He puts it so simple. He states that you should not worry about a thing. Be careful for nothing and the dictionary defines nothing as nothing. So, worry about nothing. 

Then he says that in everything by prayer and supplication (the action of asking or begging for something earnestly or humbly) with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. In other words bring it all before God. Once you have given it over in faith and trust, the Holy Spirit will cover you in incomprehensible and amazing peace. 

As Jesus said “my peace I give to you”. This amazing peace and love of God will protect your heart and your mind against the lies and deceit of the enemy. Against doubt and unbelief and against fear and sorrow. So, my dear friend, I say it again - prayer is vital to our day to day life in Jesus Christ.

Today's thought - 22 December 2025

I do not know what the norm is for people when they are distressed. I think a lot of times my battle may not be in my thoughts but subconsciously it still goes on. You know on the outside it looks fine but on the inside we are fighting. 

I love how God says that weeping may last through the night but joy comes in the morning. Here in Psalm 107 God promises that He calms the storm to a whisper and stills the waves. I do not know your battles but I can say with all honesty that God truly stills that storm. As we call on His name and ask Him for help, He answers. 

God says that anything is possible if a person believes. Jesus also said in Mark 11 “I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.” It boils down to the fear of God in respect and trust and to continue to have faith.  David wrote “I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground.” 

Do not give up, my friend, sometimes the end of the fight is much closer than we think.

This morning the Holy Spirit takes me to Matthew 6 and although the entire chapter is so nice I think we should simply consider this. Where is your heart? What is most important to you and what drives you? Jesus says you cannot serve two masters. My dear friend as Jesus talks about your treasure and where it is safe. 

It is important that we change our perspective over money and possessions. Jesus plainly shows us that nothing this world offers is of use to us and importantly where does it all come from. God blesses us and entrust us with what is given to us. We have the choice to see it as from God and as Job said God gives and takes away. We have to be responsible with what is added to our lives and put God first and above our own needs. 

That is why Jesus says here that God knows what we need even before we ask. He takes care of His creation so He will surely take care of us. That is why is is vital that we seek the Kingdom of God first and then the rest will be added. Come with me today as we seek diligently the Kingdom of God. Seek the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Everything else will fall into place.

This is such a nice Psalm and has become my go to when my battles seem to overwhelm me. I love this promise of God. He says that He directs our steps and guides us and then He delights in every detail of our lives. I know that nothing I do is from my own strength or my own ability or even my own ideas. 

God is the very reason I woke up today and that I have a job and that I am able to do that job even when it challenges me beyond my capabilities, I am still able to do it and that is grace. When we stumble God is there to catch us. Note He says they never fall. The reason we do not fall is because the Word is a light to our feet and a lamp in our darkness. 

The Word of God is our compass and with the Holy Spirit we are directed by God and when we stumble, God intervenes and holds us up. My dear friend, I pray that you will be filled with wisdom and understanding and that all your ways will be guided by God.

Today's thought - 19 December 2025

 

My cousin sent me this verse yesterday. It is one of my favourites. I want to write to you today about faith. This day we celebrate a missive miracle that happened years ago as a small group if farmers was delivered by the grace of God from the attack of a massive army. 

Now the enemy will bring the whole race thing in this and in essence if we look at it that way we miss what truly happened. Now in comparison the enemy does the same thing to us daily. We pray to God for help or for a difficult time we face but the enemy comes in and tells you, you are not good enough or you are not worthy of God’s grace. 

He will always find something from your past or any word that will put doubt in you. My dear friend, God says He can do exceedingly abundantly above ALL that we ask OR think. Jesus said ask and you shall receive. The trick is not the ask or your past or your mistakes or your problem, it is asking, trusting and waiting patiently for God to move. 

Yes it may look impossible and it may seem insignificant but for God it is not. I pray that you will be filled with the fullness of God and that the Holy Spirit will work in your life to bring all that you pray for to pass. Do not be afraid and do not stop praying. 

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

It is interesting how satan works. He weakens you by attack on attack and drains your strength and when you are at your weakest he comes in for the kill. This time of the year people are tired and looking forward to some rest. It is in this moment when we celebrate the birth of our Lord that he seems to attack even more. 

Jesus was physically and emotionally tired when satan came to tempt Him. Yet Jesus stood strong against his attacks and ended it by saying Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ” When you are at your lowest remember He who is in you is far greater than He who is in this world. We have to regain our fire and the only way we can get that is by spending time with God and in His Word. 

Seek and you shall find Jesus said and again seek first the kingdom of God. My dear friend, we are called to be more than the standards of this world. We are called to do great things as Jesus said. Come with me today as we realign our purpose with the Word and know that the same power that rose Jesus from the dead is the same power that is in us. 

You have infinite power inside you, just call on the Holy Spirit and let the joy of our Lord strengthen us.

Today's thought - 17 December 2025

 

As I struggle with my emotions in the very battle I face I end up this morning reading Matthew 5. I have asked the Holy Sprit for wisdom and understanding in this process yet I seem to end up in an argument in my head every day. Jesus basically lived this out as He states here in Matthew 5, that you should be kind to your enemy. 

To be honest I have no idea how He did it. As He hung on that cross beaten, tortured and humiliated He still asked God to forgive the very people that put Him there. Then who am I to have anger towards my enemy and to condemn my enemies in my head. Who am I to think myself above my Lord. It is a humbling verse and truly difficult as my worldly self wants retribution and vengeance when God says we should turn from anger and vengeance is His. 

My dear friend, as we face many trials and most of them are initiated by people, we should not turn to anger and say the wrong thing. Jesus said: Blessed are the merciful, forthey shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

The Holy Spirit brought this passage to me yesterday through a friend. As He confirms again that His will is perfect and exact. Job faced so many trials and yet he stood rooted in his faith and despite all the negative things he continued to trust God. 

Here in Job 28 he mentions that wisdom cannot be find by man’s many technological achievements nor can it be bought with all the precious stones of the world. In essence wisdom is the fear of God. Now fearing God is trusting Him that all circumstances He brings into our lives are according to His perfect plan that He is executing in the best possible way. 

Christ is our wisdom and wisdom is the ability to please God. That is something we can never accomplish on our own but through our Lord Jesus Christ we can. So the pursuit of wisdom is the pursuit of Jesus Christ. We can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthen us. Trust God in everything and stay away from evil and He will move your mountain and carry you through your valley.

Again the Holy Spirit brings me to Hebrews 4. As I continue to struggle in my battles and the outcome is still far from complete, I get frustrated and you know how the enemy works. He will use any opportunity to get to you and fill your head with lies. 

I cry out to my God and seek His help. This morning God reminds me of these two things. 

One, the promise of His rest applies to us still today. In His rest we find complete content and true rest. It is here where we stand in our faith and completely surrender to God. It is in His rest that we will be victorious over everything the enemy throws at us. It is in His rest that we obtain all the mercy, grace and help we need. 

Secondly God says that nothing we do or think is hidden from Him. Nothing we create or do will remain a secret and everything will be exposed and defenceless before Him. So the truth will come out and the truth will set us free. 

My dear friend, hope is never lost and love overcomes all. Hold on to God and know with all your heart that you will be ok.

Today's thought - 14 December 2025

This is one of the most amazing promises God makes in His Word. There are hundreds of scriptures in the Bible that tells you to not be afraid. It is actually annoying how I constantly battle in my mind with what I am facing at the moment. I do not know if you do it too, but I play the outcome of how I see it ending over and over in my mind and every time it varies. 

It makes me tired and yet if I am still for a moment, there we go again. What does God say here. He makes a clear statement “Do not be afraid” and combined with this He says “I have ransomed you”. He paid the price for our salvation and He bought our freedom with His blood. He makes it abundantly clear that no matter what we face, no matter how deep, no matter how painful, He will be with us and the evil of this world will not touch us. 

The entire world is currently designed to destroy but in all of this chaos we have Jesus Christ who has already defeated this world and gave us the way out. We get stuck in our thoughts because that is the only weapon the enemy has. He wants to control your mind with lies and fear and deception and anger and hatred. In that lies his plan, but unfortunately the One who is in us is far, far greater than he who is in this world. 

Seek the Holy Spirit in everything. Your decisions, your ideas, your thoughts, your hurt, your sorrow, your anger and even your joy. He is beyond all and knows all and sees all. That is why Jesus said “I am sending you someone like me. The comforter. The Holy Spirit”. Let Him be the one you turn to all the time.

I can sing of your mercies forever. God is good beyond understanding and as we enter into the last few days of this year we tend to take a moment and reflect. If I have to list all the blessings that God gave me in the last year it is as David wrote “to numerous to list”. Even so God is still moving things and putting things into place every day. 

It is with a grateful heart that I write to you today. My dear friend, God says that blessed is the man that trust in God and does not respect the proud. As we walk into today and fully commit to God and put all our trust in Him, He will put a new song in our mouths and praise unto God. In the midst of our battles we praise His name and many will see it and their hearts will turn. 

God is our help and our deliverer. May the Lord be magnified in everything we do today.

Today's thought - 12 December 2025

 

As I battle on with the challenges that surrounds me I find myself struggling with emotions. Jesus said you must love your enemy and believe me it is much harder than you think. I remind myself that Jesus was crucified by the very people that taught the scriptures. The very people that preached in the temple and His friend betrayed Him. 

Who am I that my life should be any different. I struggle with patience as it all has to follow a process and I wish that it could just pass. Even in my innocence and the struggles I face God is teaching me and preparing me for the seasons that lies ahead of me. My dear friend, Jesus said He is the way (you can’t get lost), the truth ( you can’t get deceived) and the life (you can’t die). In Him we find our peace and our strength and the very promises that all will turn out for good. 

No matter the depth of the pit nor the mountain that lies in front of you. He is eternal and He is ever present in every moment. He is actively busy working behind the scenes to place everything in place. That is why David wrote “I waited patiently for the Lord and He inclined unto me and heard my cry”. God will change your situation and He will deliver you from evil.

I am taking two verses from this chapter in Ezekiel because in essence I want to point out how careful we must be against idolatry. It can be very subtle and although idolatry revolves around objects and images, it is rooted in the human heart. 

Therefore it is in not enough to get rid of the physical thing we have made into an idol, although this must often be done. John Calvin wrote that the human heart is an idol factory. To put idolatry to death we must deal with fears and desires that have grown far larger than any created thing. 

Whenever we love something or someone in a way that is not dominated by the love for God, that love has degenerated into a proud and idolatrous lust. At the heart of the gospel is the call to turn away from such idols and give our obedience to God. That is why it is so important that we always seek the kingdom of God above all else and His Word above the world. 

When we give our lives to Jesus we die from that world and step into a new world above the idols and desires of this world. You are a new creation in Jesus Christ. God should always be first.

So many times people are deceived by the enemy. People turn to evil for their own need and sometimes they do not care who they destroy in the path. The enemy makes people believe that they can get away with lies and deceit and yet they forget God sees it all. This scripture is so for me today. With lies the enemy has brought great sadness and empowered the wicked scheme of man by promising them what is not theirs. God says that because of this they will not see visions (hope or prosperity) for God will rescue His people from their grasp and they will know He is God.

God is truly amazing. As I continue in this battle and we face the next phase God just gives me this Word. My dear friend, God says that He has given us victory. He is our strength and our song. No matter your battle whether it is sickness, sorrow, deceit against you, marriage or financial. 

God gives us victory. We stand in the authority that is given to our Lord Jesus Christ and in His victory over satan lies our victory over satan. Yes satan comes to steal, kill and destroy but his fight is powerless because in the end God has already defeated him and even if he brings the worst trials over you, you will be victorious because by our faith and our trust in God we will overcome and we will triumph at the end of it bringing glory to God. 

In the end all I have is my faith and my trust in God. I cannot change people’s minds or hearts. I can only tell the truth and share God’s Word. God directs the path of man and He will destroy the wicked and the righteous, the meek will inherit the land in other words be victorious by God’s grace. 

No one is above God and no one will be pardoned in His judgement when your heart is evil. Be good and do what is right, my friend even when it is hard. Love people even those who hurt you.

My dear friend, what a wonderful and amazing God we worship. His love extends the universe and His power lives within each one of us. Some days will be beautiful and sunny and others will be dark with storms. God is always there and as we walk every day facing trials and battle against the evil schemes of the enemy. We can walk with no fear. 

God will destroy the plans of the wicked and turn it against them. We will see them rise and see them fall. But for those of us who desire and delight in God and seek His Word and His guidance. Who live by His laws and give to those seeking. We will see God’s blessings in our lives and His wrath on those who do bad things. 

He will make a way in our troubles and fill our live with blessings. We will always have more than we need and we will always have God with us. What an amazing thing it is to know that God will move all things in place and carry you through all your battles. Always keep your eyes on the Lord and wait patiently for His guidance and for Him to change your battles. 

He will always help you. Deliver you. Save you. Just trust Him.

Today's thought - 07 December 2025

 

Jesus says here that we can ask Him anything in His name and He will do it. I do not think He meant a Ferrari or anything extravagant that will be our downfall but instead what we truly need and in this need the Father will be glorified through our faith. 

It is not what we ask but how we ask. You cannot trust God for something and you have your own backup plan incase God takes too long. My friend, faith without works is dead so is faith without trust meaningless. When God puts something in your heart, trust Him and follow Him. Nothing that God says can be stopped by man or anyone for that matter. 

All I ask is that you trust Him completely and you will se His hand at work in your life. Speak life over yourself and everyone else and you will see people grow where you speak over them.

Today's thought - 06 December 2025

 

Many times we forget that God sees everything. He does not look at your good deeds or the outward appearance, but God sees the heart of man. God knows your thoughts and how you see and think of others. We can deceive the world, but we will never deceive God. 

When we give our lives to Jesus, God changes our stone hearts into hearts of flesh so that we can unite with Him and live out His Word. If we choose to ignore the Word of God and continue with “detestable things and their abominations”. Then God will turn that against them in not a good way. Jesus showed us how we must live out our lives. 

We must live in kindness, forgiveness and hope by showing the world around us the truth of the gospel and the life we have in Jesus. We are in the time of the year where people give us the opportunity to speak about Jesus and the power that is in His resurrection. My dear friend, God sees your heart, your struggles, your need and your pain and joy. 

He will surely change it all. Just trust Him and do not sin out of anger or distress but instead love and trust God. He will hear your prayer and move in your midst.

My dear friend, I write from my own experience and circumstances and how I perceive what God says to me today. God knows the storms we face and our Lord Jesus completely understands what we are going through. 

Today He is telling me that we should enter into His rest. God's rest is a state of spiritual peace and security found in trusting and ceasing from one's own efforts, rather than a rest from all activity. It involves relying on God's finished work, particularly through faith in Jesus Christ, and letting go of anxiety and self-reliance. 

Entering God's rest means to cease from self-focused labor and instead partner with God, trusting him to provide and work through you. Thus submitting to Him completely and to trust Him throughout your battle. It is in this place where we fully and completely rely on God so that we find the peace of God. 

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

The Lord is my shepherd. He is the very breath in my lungs. The light that shines in the darkness and His Word is a lamp to my feet. How wonderful is His promises and how amazing is His grace. As I read this Psalm, God just fills me with peace. 

Before me lies a mountain, but God is busy moving this mountain and He is opening doors. Even as I walk through this valley, He is with me and the world will see His power at work as He is with me and His rod and staff gives me comfort. 

As the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, God is preparing a table of victory in their presence and He anoints my head. My cup surely runs over. Only goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives, because God will help us in a time of trouble and He will deliver us from evil. 

Trust God and commit your life to Him and He will make it come to pass.

How wonderful and amazing is the grace and mercy of our Lord God. How great is His love and how amazing is His Word. Jesus said you cannot live by bread alone, but by every Word that is from God. 

Paul writes that through Jesus we can enter boldly into the throne of our loving and gracious God where we will find the grace we need in our battles. I can only speak of His amazing grace and tell you that our God is a God who keeps His promises and He will move your mountains. He will lift you up and He will give you strength. He will heal you and protect you. 

He is unbelievable. My dear friend, nothing is impossible for God. Speak your victory out and trust Him for He will deliver the righteous and destroy evil.

This morning I write to you with this amazing Word. God says no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no mind has imagined the things God has already prepared for those who love Him.

 As I continue with my battles God brings this amazing peace over me confirming again today that He has already gone before us and He has already prepared something far greater than we could ever imagine. 

I love the Lord with everything in me and I stand on His Word trusting Him that this fight is alreay won. My dear friend, stand with me in faith as we trust God completely with all our hearts and delight ourselves in His Word and His ways and we will see His mighty hand at work.

This is an amazing scripture and in it lies a great promise. The Lord continues with me as He is my strength through my battle. Today God is going to shatter the strength of the wicked as He lovingly takes care of the godly. 

He will help us and deliver us from the wicked and He will save us, because we trust in Him. Your inheritance is in the kingdom of heaven and it is forever. My dear friend, God says that the wicked will fall by their own devices and He will destroy their evil schemes. Trust in God and do good and He will make all come to pass and the meek shall inherit the earth.

This scripture is for me and I gladly share it with you, my friend. James writes that faith without works is dead. Now I know it is impossible to help every poor person and giving is not always possible, but the Holy Spirit will guide you in this because He is love and He will put on your heart where God needs you. 

Yes, giving in every sense is what God wants, but He also loves to take you out of your comfort. He put it in my heart to give sandwiches to the homeless close to my work. So every Wednesday I take a cold drink and sandwiches to these four guys and every time the Holy Spirit tells me to pray for them and give from my abundance. 

Now out of this God touches not only the lives of these four guys but also the people walking by in such a way that my HR manager who is not a Christian now wants to go to Church. It is amazing how God blesses me because of my faith and how my faith grows because of my obedience. My dear friend, we worship an amazing all powerful loving God who will never leave you nor forsake you. 

Like Peter kept his eyes on Jesus in the storm, keep your eyes on Him and you will never sink.

Today's thought - 29 November 2025

 

John said here in Luke 3, that someone much greater than he is coming. One who baptises in the Holy Spirit and with fire. Now baptism as we know is leaving the old behind in the water and emerging a new and clean person. It publicly symbolizes a commitment to Jesus and signifies the believer's identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, representing a death to sin and a new life in Christ. 

Equally important is being baptised by in the Holy Spirit. It is after this that believers start speaking in tongues and a spiritual communion is established with the Holy Spirit but it is important that we also ask God to baptise us with fire. God is a consuming fire and as the Holy Spirit baptises you with fire it cleanses your body and God purifies you and basically sets you on fire for His gospel. 

To get baptised with the Holy Spirit and with fire is simply asking God and He will.  My friend, again I state that a intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit is vital to your day to day walk with Jesus. Seek Him and talk to Him every chance you get and the issues of life will disappear.

The day you gave your life to Jesus, the enemy put a target on your back. To be a follower of Jesus is not an easy path. Here Jesus clearly says that the gateway to life is narrow and difficult and only few ever find it. Life can be hard and unfair and somedays we feel overwhelmed by the things that happens. 

As we step into this day there might be a difficult task awaiting you, work might be too much, it can be sickness or even loss. Jesus said His yoke is light and His burden is easy to bear. When we give our lives to Jesus, yes we enter a war zone but there are over seventy scriptures where God says to not be afraid. 

Life may seem hard but in this all you have the helper, the Holy Spirit and He is vital in my daily walk. If it was not for His comfort and guidance and help, I would have been lost. God chose you, my friend. You are His child and you are not of this world anymore. Your victory is already given, trust God and commit to His Word and He will make it pass. 

Be kind, love and do to other what you want then to do to you. Your inheritance is beyond this world and your battle is already won.

Today's thought - 27 November 2025

 

We all have our battles. I stand in a massive fight and God is doing the most amazing miracles around me. I am so so grateful for His love and His mercy and His grace that abounds me. As I face this week God so lovingly tells us today that we should be satisfied and content with what we have. 

We are stuarts of what is in fact God’s possessions and God’s money. If we can fully understand that we will never be poor. Now what is very important and I emphasise this because in our struggles we face people good or bad but sometimes the enemy deceives good people to do bad things. So, God says this so clearly “I will never leave you nor forsake you” so that you can say boldly: 

The Lord is my helper and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Paul wrote this knowing the wickedness of man when he himself face many terrible beatings. That is why God says if He is for us, who can be against us. My friend you already have the victory and the authority because of the works of the cross. Take up your authority and speak life over your challenges and God will answer and He will move your mountains.

Yesterday we spoke about this. I had coffee with an amazing friend and as we discussed people and their actions, the question came up why do Christians do evil things. The Holy Spirit reminded me of this scripture and how Jesus said there will be false prophets. 

He actually said they come in sheep’s clothing but inside they are wolves. If you do not have an intimate relationship with Holy Spirt the Word of God will be just another book on your shelf. The Holy Spirit wrote the Bible and He brings the Bible to life as your relationship with Him increases. Anyone can call themselves a Christian but a follower of Jesus Christ is a complete surrender to the Holy Spirit and the death of your worldly self. 

That is where the fruits of the Spirit comes in as Paul describes it so well in Galatians 5 “The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”

The Holy Spirit reminds me of this scripture today. No weapon formed against you will prosper and every tongue that rise against you in judgement you shall condemn. My dear friend, as the battle rage on and this world tries to deceive you and break you, you must stand strong. You know satan is the master of lies and his mastered this over thousands of years. 

He will try anything to bring you down and get you off your path. The minute you become a thread to his plans he will come to destroy you. Jesus said the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy but He (Jesus) came to give life. God said do not be afraid or discouraged for He will personally go ahead of you (Det 31:8). 

Be strong and courageous and trust God in and through everything. He will save you from the enemy and He will set you free.

Today's thought - 24 November 2025

 

This verse is on my heart as the storm rages on. It is amazing that sometimes we get a Word from God and we kinda misunderstand it trying to make worldly sense of it. Then as time progress God adds to it through His scriptures and we end standing in this massive battles and it all makes sense. 

The Holy Spirit reminds me that Jesus said if this world hates you do not be surprises, because it hated Him first. Then He added this “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me.”  

My dear friend, God is very straight forward here in Psalm 37. He will help us and He will deliver us from evil.

I want to share this with you as I stand in the midst of what is probably one of my greatest battles yet. I have been writing to you about persistence for example keep asking and keep knocking. Here in Matthew 15 we read about this woman’s persistence to get Jesus to hear her and finally she kneeled before Him in worship and was willing to take even a little of His grace. 

Therefore Jesus said that her faith has lead to her daughter’s healing. We all have battles and we all face difficulties. The Lord reminds me that we will have tribulation but not to fear for He has overcome all. This is His Word for you: “He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.”

Today's thought - 22 November 2025

 

People have a way to challenge us. There is always one or two that you feel somedays you just want to shake them a bit. This scripture is one of my biggest challenges. I get upset at people for their lack or arrogance or even entitlement they have and I always have to ask the Holy Spirit for a clean and open heart towards them. 

Funny thing is that though we make it through today that same pre-conceived assumptions are back tomorrow. Jesus goes on here in Matthew 7 and says ““And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?” This is so important. There are two things Jesus said that we should keep in our minds. 

One, change starts with you, so look at your own faults first before you look at others. Two, Jesus said you must even love your enemy and do good towards them. Love is the answer to all our issues with one another. 

When you correct someone out of love and concern for their wellbeing, then you display the love Jesus modelled. My dear friend, always try to see the good in other and strive to be better and guide them with respect and love. Sometimes that love is hard to hear but if you follow the Holy Spirit in it, it will have the effect needed.

It is so important that we fully understand what Jesus is saying here in Matthew 7. If we who are not good know to give good things to our children, then why do we doubt God. Jesus makes it clear that he who keeps on asking shall receive and he who knocks, for him the door will be opened. 

I am adding to what I wrote to you about yesterday. God is our Father and we are His sons/daughters, so how much more does He know to give us what we need. The only problem is we do not ask and when we ask we expect it to be like takealot. God is not takealot and His desires is not to see us fail or make wrong choices. 

He wants us to succeed and to prosper. The verse is clear “Keep on asking” and “Keep on knocking”. Not ask once and give up or knock once and leave, because everyone who seeks will find and everyone who knocks, the door will be opened for. My dear friend, trust God and commit your life to Him and all things will work out for good.

Faith is a small word but sometimes the hardest thing to do. How many times have we found ourselves before impossible odds and when it requires faith and patience we give up. We stand at the door and we knock and if Jesus does not open this door fast enough we give up and follow our own plans. How many times have we given up right before the change or breakthrough comes. 

Jesus said to His disciples “O ye of little faith”. He was upset because regardless of all He did, they still lacked faith. That is why Jesus said to the boy’s father “Anything is possible, if you believe”. Where are you today, my friend?  Are you about to give up? Is your challenges to much? Is your burden too heavy?  Are you losing hope and ready to give up?  Jesus is looking at you today and He is telling you that anything is possible. 

Have faith and be patient. Do not quit and do not give up nor stop asking God for what you need. Jesus spoke and the demons flees. He spoke and the universe was created. He is also speaking over your life. All His promises in His Word are for each of us. He will step in at the right time and He will give you the desires of your heart. Align yourself with His Word and His will and step into your inheritance. God will make all things turn out for good.

Ezekiel talks against idolatry here in chapter 6 and he tells Israel of God’s wrath against idol worship. By nature the human heart is idolatrous. It loves itself and the world instead of God and His will. Idolatry can take many forms and is often a secret sin. God is against idolatry and He deserves and demands our worship. We must guard ourselves against idolatry but also speak against it in the lives of others. The enemy has a way to sneak lies into our minds and to those around us. That is why it is again so important that we have and keep a close and intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. He will always guide us in the right direction and steer us away from evil. My dear friend, we must remain humble in our journey and stand firm in our purpose. Always strive to be a light in darkness and give God His rightful place in your life.

I think that in everything we do we should seek to bring glory to God. As our holiday comes to an end I remind myself that we should delight ourselves in God and commit our ways unto Him. I guess an easier life would be great but that would not require a close relationship with God, but instead it would hinder our growth. It is not this life that we labour for but the life eternal with our Lord God. The life beyond this one. This life is the practise ground for the life that truly awaits us. If we strive to life in the kingdom of God already now we will see a glims of what awaits us in eternity. My dear friend, take time today and just be in God’s presence and wait patiently for Him to move in your life. Do not worry about tomorrow or desire that of the wicked, but seek God in everything, then He will bless you in everything.

Sometimes we all need to be a little readjusted. You know, reminded of where we should be instead of where we are headed. Sometimes we fail, we get angry and we kinda miss the plot. The enemy is cunning and patient and he will wait until you are comfortable and then they will set their trap. 

My dear friend, today the Holy Spirit reminds me that I am human and I have flaws but in the midst of my failures and when I am weak, God remains the strength of my heart and He is with me forever. It is important that we always seek God even when we made a mistake. It is important to be near Him and make Him your shelter when it is difficult. In the end you will rise and overcome and God will be glorified through your faithfulness. Be strong, my friend and do not allow the enemy to deceive you.

I can only proclaim the wonders and grace of God. His love and mercy lifts us up out of the pit and He sets our feet on a rock. He brings comfort when we are sad and joy when we are down. His blessings leaves me amazed and His grace surrounds me. He surely has put a new song in my heart and His joy is my strength. I continue to seek His will and walk in His path. As David wrote only goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. Even in the midst of our battles when the storm rages on, we will find comfort in the Lord our God. He restores and He will lead us in the paths of righteousness. My cup truly runneth over.

Today's thought - 15 November 2025

 

The minute Jesus was baptised by John, the enemy came to tempt Him. Now important to note is that Jesus fasted for forty days and then the enemy came. This is important to understand that satan is patient and he will wait until you are at your lowest of weakest moment, then he comes. When you are tired and weary then he will bring all kinds of trials and temptations across your path. 

Now there are two things you need to consider here. One man shall not live by bread alone but from every Word that comes from God. Two when we are weak, we are strong so that the glory of God can resonate in our victories. Every day I battle against the enemy and he comes mainly when the day is near its end. Again I emphasise on the importance of our walk with the Holy Spirit. 

If I do not seek His guidance and strength in my trials, I will surely fail every time, but because we stand in a close relationship I remain standing and I defeat the enemy through the authority I have in Jesus Christ. The minute you gave your life to Jesus is the minute you stepped into war. Remember always, He who is in you is far greater than he who is in the world.

Today's thought - 14 November 2025

 

God was showing His people here in Ezekiel the consequences of their sin. It emphasises God’s patience with sinners and again how great His love and grace is. Although He gave many signs the message they conveyed was the same. 

Israel’s sin was going to be followed by judgement. When God speaks we should listen. He never changed His message and it was still the same as the one given over 800 years earlier to Moses. My dear friend, the wrath of God is coming to sinners. 

Let no one deceive you with empty words but share the gospel with as many as you can and if there are any sin or unforgiven grudges you carry, repent and let the Holy Spirit set you free. The harvest is great and labourers are few. 

Do not miss the opportunity so save a life. Speak Jesus to the mountains and to the streets and carry His message with you always.

Today the Holy Spirit just confirms again that God is with you and with His help you will do mighty things. You will conquer the enemy and succeed where it seems impossible. You will defeat the enemy and stand in victory because Jesus has already defeated the enemy. 

Rise mighty warrior for the God of heavens armies are with you and nothing can pull you from His love. As Jesus said you will trample on snakes and adders and you will do greater things than He did. My dear friend, we do not worship a mediocre God. We worship the creator of heaven and earth who by a mere Word created all. 

How much more can you accomplish by the Word of God. Be strong and courageous for streams of living water will flow from you.
