Today Reminder - 30 January 2012 (Who am I)

My prayer for you for today is God will pour His special favour over you, in Jesus name.

1 Corinthians 15:10-11
But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out His special favour on me—and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by His grace. So it makes no difference whether I preach or they preach, for we all preach the same message you have already believed.

Who I am. I am sitting here this morning reflecting back over a life lived with many mistakes. When I read this part where Paul says that is all because of God’s special favour then I can relate. I have travelled the road mostly travelled and made all the mistakes you can possibly make. I have been completely lost up to a point where God pulled me out of the dump I found myself in and brought me back by His love and His grace to a place where I can be worth something. I realise now that each day is a gift and each moment that we have is a blessing. God’s love is great, it is much greater than any human mind can comprehend, much greater than any value we know and far greater than any distance we can cover.

If God can take a sinner like me and change my life and bring me to place where I can stand and be part of Him, then He will surely do it for each one of you. He can pull you out of any misery, out of pain, out of sorrow, out of failure, out of trouble and out any wrong direction and place you back on the road of recovery, the road of Jesus Christ.

Above all God is patient and He is patient with you as much as He has and is with me. Don’t give up, let the Lord be your help line. Bring your problems to Him and you will see how small they really are.

In the hands of an all-powerful God anything is small and more than possible.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers.

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
