Joseph brought in his father, Jacob, and presented him to Pharaoh. And Jacob
blessed Pharaoh. (Genesis 47:7)
Blessed – being a blessing is a blessing.
It is somewhat weird how we are reluctant to bless
people. In that sense I mean, do you bless those you meet or those you know or
even those you love? Are we scared or are we selfish?
In this day that we live it has become so important to
boost people and to lift people’s spirits. It is so needed to care and love and
help and to be there when people are in need or when they need an ear to hear
or a quiet blessing. I believe that blessings can be done in so many ways. We
can bless with a gift, a word or even a smile. Yes a warm smile and a nice word
can go a long way.
Jacob went to a foreign land and into a foreign home and
the first thing he did is a blessing. He blessed Pharaoh and again when they
left.
My dear friend, come with me today and let us be a double
blessing to those around us. I pray that the Lord will bless you so that you
can be a blessing to those you meet and that your blessing will be carried
forward and forward so that it will form a chain of blessings all over your
area, in Jesus name.
