A
reminder for today
The
king then asked him, "Is anyone still alive from Saul's family? If so, I
want to show God's kindness to them." (2 Samuel 9:3)
How awesome is this. Saul was basically David’s enemy who
tried to kill him on more than one occasion, yet David looks for Saul’s
remaining family members to show God’s kindness to them.
My dear friend, how often do we show kindness to people,
especially strangers? I know we live in a dangerous world where a stranger is
the last person you wish to talk to, but do you show kindness to the homeless
man on the street or the cashier at the supermarket or the telephone
salesperson trying to sell you another cell phone or the man working at the gas
station?
What is important here is that David did not show his own
kindness, he showed God’s kindness and that is what we should do. We cannot
show God to the world if we hide Him from them. If Jesus is in your heart, you
should shout it out and let His light touch those you meet.
A warm smile and friendly hallo can change people.
Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus
Cheers
