A
reminder for today
For
my own honour and for the sake of my servant David, I will defend this city and
protect it." (2 Kings 19:34)
The Lord heard the prayers of King Hezekiah and He send
an angel into the Assyrian camp. That
night the angel of the LORD went out to the Assyrian camp and killed 185,000
Assyrian soldiers. When the surviving Assyrians woke up the next morning, they
found corpses everywhere. Then King Sennacherib of Assyria broke camp and
returned to his own land. He went home to his capital of Nineveh and stayed
there. (Verse 35-36)
My dear friend, the Lord wants you to remember that He is
the one that is protecting you and He is the one that is defending you. The God
of the angel armies are ready to take on any challenge and defeat any obstacle
the world can throw at you.
If God send an angel, one angel, to destroy the Assyrian
army, imagine what God can do through you and what God can do for you. Do not underestimate your abilities
in God and do not forget that within you dwells and almighty God. There is no
limit to His power and certainly no limit in His love for you.
So today the Lord wants to remind you to stay focussed no
matter how hard and how tired you may seem. God will defend you and protect
you.
I pray that the Lord will lift your spirits and renew
your strength so that you can take on this day with all that awaits you and
stand firm on the Lord as you foundation so that you will be unmovable in the
midst of the storm.
