Today Reminder – 13 December 2013 (Day 9 – A Real Christmas)

A reminder for today
"Look, I have seen all this with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears, and now I understand.” (Job 13:1)

My dear friend, Christmas is all about understanding. Understanding according to the oxford is the ability to understand something; comprehension, the power of abstract thought; intellect, an individual’s perception or judgement of a situation, sympathetic awareness or tolerance, an informal or unspoken agreement or arrangement, sympathetically aware of other people’s feelings; tolerant and forgiving or having insight or good judgement.

There are two types that we should most definitely consider here. One we need to comprehend and two is tolerant and forgiving or having insight or good judgement.

One we need to comprehend what Christmas is and we need to make that part of our daily lives.

Two we need to be more understanding towards other by being more tolerant without judgement.

My dear friend, Job’s understanding came from having seen it with His own eyes and having heard it with His own ears. Now this is what we should reflect when we celebrate Christmas. We have seen with our own eyes, because by accepting Jesus as your saviour you have been cleared from all sin and your life is renewed in this new covenant with God. You have seen the wonder of His presence in your life and this testimony in your life will also become the testimony that can save other. We have seen so we should understand.

Then you have heard the good news from the Word of God. It is nicely summarised in John 3:16 - "For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”

We have heard and therefore we understand so that now we can be more understanding so that we can have a better perception or judgement of other. My dear friend, we need to take John 3:16 and make it part of us this Christmas. Jesus came to set us free and in this freedom we have the ability to change and bring about change. Let us take the change that has happened within us and share it with those who so desperately need it. The warm love of Jesus is for everyone and in Him we will find understanding and contentment.

Jesus lives – celebrate it!

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
