Today Reminder – 17 December 2013 (Day 11 – A Real Christmas)



A reminder for today
"Don't be afraid, Mary," the angel told her, "for you have found favour with God! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end!" (Luke 1:30-33)

How are you my dear friend? There are 8 days left before Christmas as the world moves into that last minute Christmas shopping spree. It is just unbelievable how busy the malls are. Everywhere you go people are shopping for Christmas gifts. In this festive spirit I want to turn your eyes back to a small village, many years ago.

An angel appeared to Mary and told her that she had found favour with God and will have a son that will be called the son of the Most High and His kingdom will never end. 

My dear friend, this is the God that we worship, His kingdom will never end. Let us take today and just focus on Jesus. Let us bring Him back into Christmas and forget about this world. Let Jesus be the centre of our celebrations and let our praises bring joy to this world, because His light will destroy all darkness and bring people back to the light.

Let our celebration find favour with God as we celebrate the birth of our saviour.

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving.
