reminder for today
"Don't
be afraid, Mary," the angel told her, "for you have found favour with
God! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him
Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High.
The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David. And he will
reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end!" (Luke 1:30-33)
How are you my dear friend? There are 8 days left before
Christmas as the world moves into that last minute Christmas shopping spree. It
is just unbelievable how busy the malls are. Everywhere you go people are
shopping for Christmas gifts. In this festive spirit I want to turn your eyes
back to a small village, many years ago.
An angel appeared to Mary and told her that she had found
favour with God and will have a son that will be called the son of the Most
High and His kingdom will never end.
My dear friend, this is the God that we worship, His
kingdom will never end. Let us take today and just focus on Jesus. Let us bring
Him back into Christmas and forget about this world. Let Jesus be the centre of
our celebrations and let our praises bring joy to this world, because His light
will destroy all darkness and bring people back to the light.
Let our celebration find favour with God as we celebrate
the birth of our saviour.
