A
reminder for today
"But
he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as
gold. For I have stayed on God's paths; I have followed his ways and not turned
aside. I have not departed from his commands, but have treasured his words more
than daily food.” (Job 23:10-12)
The day before Christmas, here we are my dear friend;
tomorrow the world will celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be
the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through
Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21) This is the gift that we celebrate tomorrow.
The reason why we are able to live the lives we live, the centre of our
religion and the foundation of our faith. What a wonderful time and how
wonderful the fact that we can do this every day.
I like this verse from Job 23 - I have not departed from his commands, but have treasured his words more
than daily food. This is what we need to do from here on in, we must
treasure the words form our Lord and keep them in our hearts. We must carry His
words with us wherever we go and share them with everyone we meet. The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort
accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and
life. (John 6:63) We need to stop and meditate on this powerful
scripture. It can change your life forever! God's Word is
alive! It is a living force that will bring life and victory to any
circumstance we may face. The Lord Jesus stated: "No! The Scriptures say, 'People do not live by bread
alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" (Matthew
4:4).
The Word of God is God's personal promise to you. Whenever
we encounter any decisions or obstacles in life we need to find what the Word
says for that situation. When Jesus made this statement, My Words are
spirit and they are life (John 6:63), He was teaching us to see His Promises
through the eyes of faith. The natural mind or the sense ruled mind
cannot understand the things of the Spirit. To simplify it: God or His
Word is not bound by the laws of the natural or sense ruled world. The
world was created by the Spoken Word of God (Genesis 1). This world and
the very existence of life was conceived by God in the spirit realm, then made
manifested in the natural realm. Jesus
looked at them and said: With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with
God all things are possible (Mark 10:27).
So it is so important that we treasure His life giving
words for they will bring change in our lives and on our journey. These words
of our Lord will give us power and we will defeat the enemy in all the areas of
our lives. Come with me today my friend and let us use the Word for the purpose
it was intended and let us speak life over everyone we meet as we carry His
Words in our hearts and treasure them more than daily food.
Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus
Cheers
