A
reminder for today
"You
are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No
one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on
a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way,
let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your
heavenly Father. (Matthew 5:14-16)
Everywhere you go and in everything you do people see you
and they see what you do and how you do it. I love the words: “In darkness your
light will be revealed”. Every day leaves us with challenges and temptations and
some days we win and some days we lose. Some days we are just so tired of all
the politics and negativity that it changes our normal behaviour. We get upset
and angry especially at people because people can disappoint us and hurt us the
most.
Jesus makes it clear here that our light should shine and
it should not be hidden. We should live out who we are and who we trust and
follow. You see how the world is and you get negative and people hurt us and they can even
try and break us. People get influenced by darkness because the allow darkness to enter
into their lives.
If you had the cure for cancer, would you keep it a
secret? If you had a solution to change every person’s life, would you hide it?
If you were given the opportunity to improve an area in your life would you say
no?
You have the greatest gift of all gifts and you trust the
only living God, the creator of heaven and earth, the God that gave His Son so
that you can be free. You have this knowledge and this is your light. Do not hide
it, my friend, let it be seen. You are that city on a hilltop. Yes many will
try and destroy you, but who can destroy a city that is protected by God?
What
shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can
ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him
up for us all, won't he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us
whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right
standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus
died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honour
at God's right hand, pleading for us. (Romans 8:31-34)
Come and let us break another wall and let our light shine
in the darkness. Let us change this world one smile at a time.
Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus
Cheers
