Today Reminder – 30 June 2015 (Day 21 – Break the walls)

A reminder for today
People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy. (Proverbs 28:13)

Today I need forgiveness from my sins and I need to move on and away from the hurt and anger that follows them. People are so quick to point a finger and condemn other but what they don’t realise is that they are casting judgement over themselves. I can’t help but to think of the following verse: and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. (Matthew 6:12)

Do to others as you would like them to do to you. (Luke 6:31) You see that in the end we only condemn ourselves. We judge others but we are only judging ourselves. Our hate and anger then turns back onto ourselves and we are the one that is hated as we cause angers to flare up.

In order for us to break the walls that hold us back we need to put the past behind us. Like Timon said in Disney’s Lion King “Put your behind in the past”. Take those bricks that you created that are made up of anger and judgement and sin and put them behind you. Let the Lord guide you as you find closure to move on past them.

Yes people will remind you of your mistakes and yes they will always try and hurt you with your bricks, but when Jesus takes them and He leads you past them, then none of these bricks will ever hurt again. It is merely the enemy that is trying to hurt you and force you back to where you started. It is the enemy’s goal to let you fail, therefore he will use anyone to try and break you. I love to remind the devil of his future. My past might be dark and empty but my future is with Jesus. His future is an eternity of pain and suffering. In that case I am happy to carry my burdens and accept all the hate and judgement this world can throw at me.

If they can’t see the truth, then the truth will be their judgement. No more walls my friend, no more walls.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
