Today Reminder – 17 February 2016

A reminder for today
You will remember your sins and cover your mouth in silent shame when I forgive you of all that you have done. I, the Sovereign LORD, have spoken! (Ezekiel 16:63)

The Lord have spoken, your sins are forgiven. I love the part where Jesus was teaching and a man was lowered into the room by his friends. He was paralyzed and they tried to get into the room, but there were too many people. So they climbed onto the roof and took out tiles so that they can lower this man close to Jesus. Jesus saw this but He also saw the hearts of the Pharisees and religious leaders so He said to the man: "Young man, your sins are forgiven." This caused a huge argument and they called it blasphemy, because they said only God can forgive sins. Jesus wanted this, because He wanted to show the people who He really is. Jesus looked at them and asked this question: "Why do you question this in your hearts? Is it easier to say 'Your sins are forgiven,' or 'Stand up and walk'? So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins." Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, "Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!"

With these words the man stood up and walked home praising God. Can you possibly imagine the effect this must have had on the people sitting there as well as the leaders and Pharisees? Every time I read this passage in Luke 5 I am lost in my awe of how amazing our God is. So today the Lord wants you to stand up and walk. Your sins are forgiven, because He took them on the cross and destroyed your sin. So what remains for us? We must just stand up and walk. We must walk this journey and glorify His name for the wonders He is doing in our lives. God wants the world to see His glory and it starts with you, because in you lives an almighty God and His glory will shine through you. This is the glory that will change hearts and steer people on the right path. Let it shine my friend, let is shine.

Lord, help us today to stand up and walk glorifying you. Let us be the light that will guide other to you and let our lives be a testimony of you. In Jesus name.

Let every knee bow down and every voice declare that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
