A reminder for
today
You are my refuge and
my shield; your word is my source of hope. Get out of my life, you evil-minded
people, for I intend to obey the commands of my God. (Psalm 119:114-115)
This weekend we watched the movie “The Young Messiah” and it
was quite interesting seeing what it could have been like for Jesus as a
child. What the movie does very well is to focus on His faith in God His
Father. How He seems fearless in life and how He faces evil faithfully and with
trust in God. The movie is fictional yet it is an eye opener for us when we say
we want to be more like Jesus and less than our worldly self.
Jesus said that we should humble ourselves like a child. Then he said, "I tell you the truth,
unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never
get into the Kingdom of Heaven So anyone who becomes as humble as this
little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew 18:3-4)
So today I want you to be a child again in your faith. Let God
be your refuge and shield and let Him be your source of hope so that all evil
will flee from you. Be like a child and trust God like a child. Believe with
all your heart as child believes with their entire being.
Lord, make us humble as we become children again in our
faith. Let us give our hearts to you completely and without holding back. In
Jesus name.
