Today Reminder (For a while) – 3 July 2018

A reminder for today
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (1 Peter 5:10)

It is holiday time here and the kids are enjoying the rest. I am at home today and trying to work from home while also looking after two busy little boys. We have a friend visiting and there is great excitement with all the games and jokes. I am not a chaos person so the change in routine is taking some time for me to get used to. We have made a slight adjustment to our training program and I can feel the impact it has on my energy levels. Plus, it is suddenly very cold here in South Africa and I have been freezing all day while trying to get ahead with my work.

The sudden dip in temperature and the small amount of chaos in my life made this verse very clear today. You see, I have mentioned the end of time a few times before, but it has become evident that we are moving closer and closer into the final days.

Jesus said that after we have suffered for a while He will make us perfect and He will strengthen us. He will settle us and give us peace. You see God is calling us into His eternal glory, into His house and into eternity. For a while we will see difficult times and for a while we will suffer. This while may seem way to long for some, but when you have Jesus as your saviour it will not be about the sufferings, but about the days after that.

Do not let the fuel price increases or inflation or the constant worry of tomorrow continue to burden you. Jesus defeated this world already, so we have no need to fight the world we can just ignore it and keep our eyes and focus on Jesus. He will show you the way and He will give you what you need. Keep your faith and keep trusting God.

So, today I want to remind you that even though you might feel a bigger dent in your pocket from tomorrow on, you do not need to worry because with our God all things are possible and nothing we face is bigger than His grace.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
