Today’s journal (Foundations) – 20 November 2019

A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. (Psalm 84:10)

I think we are quick to forget that this life is just a moment and, in this moment, we must live a life for Jesus in as many ways as we can. I spoke to someone at the gym this morning about death and this life versus the life to come. Paul said it so nicely “For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.”

We live in this world and we become so consumed by this world and the material part of it that we miss the glory that awaits us in heaven. We create a foundation of who we are and what we have and how important we are in life.  A lot of us is influenced by our worldly desires and our need for material things that we continue in a direction that only causes more pain and more need.

How much do we actually need? There are so much need in the world, yet people continue to buy what they do not need. We need to make a mind shift or rather a foundation shift. Build your house on a rock so that the storms of life cannot break it. My foundation and my house are built on Jesus Christ. He is the only way and the light of this world. With Him we will never thirst, and we will not hunger for what we do not need. With Him we can overcome all the obstacles and challenges that lies ahead and before us.

My heart, my house and my life belong to Jesus. All I pray for today is that our hearts will break for what breaks His heart. A single day in the house of the Lord is better than a thousand anywhere else. Live a life that will build lives and lead them to Jesus. Be generous at heart and help where you can, because the smallest amount can be blessed to do amazing things.

Have an awesome day.

I love you, my friend in Jesus.

Cheers

Today’s journal (Demons) – 19 November 2019

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Revelation 12:7-9)

We all have those worries that keeps us awake at night. We find ourselves in a place where we rather believe the lie than the truth. The enemy (that old serpent) is constantly busy trying to keep souls out of heaven and away from salvation. I have seen the enemy in so many forms and how he tries to break us with lies making us believe we are not worth the trouble God puts into us. You know God loves you and His love has no requirements or obligations and His love is freely for all. We seem to elevate ourselves above the grace of God and deem our own self more important than the input God wants to put into and onto our lives. We are impatient.

Demons are real and the enemy is real. He walks on this earth devouring as many souls as he can, and he will not stop. Our only hope and the only way is through Jesus Christ. It is where we seek our answers and our expectations that makes us vulnerable. We can defeat the enemy through the blood of Jesus and through our testimonies as we fear nothing and faithfully face everything. Satan is here to deceive and to steal, but Jesus is here to restore, renew and rebuild. Nobody is so far lost that they can not be saved. I will stand against the enemy and all his attacks, because my strength comes from God and I am not afraid. I may seem defeated, but I am only catching my breath. You will see more miracles in the year to come than ever before. It is a time of fighting back and saving more souls for the kingdom of God.

Stand with me as we battle onwards on our knees and with the word as our sword. Speak life and believe in the power of Jesus Christ. He will break our chains and pull us back into the race so that we can complete it for His glory.

Have an awesome day.

I love you, my friend in Jesus.

Today’s journal (Enemy) – 17 November 2019

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)

The enemy’s sole purpose is to steal your joy and turn you against God. He will bombard you with everything he has to break you and to hurt you. This week was just one of those where the enemy took his attacks to the next level. Firstly, he started with pain, then he dug into my character and then he tried to break my faith and my trust and finally he gave me the flu just in case I missed him trying to get to me.

How often do we stand at the point where you think “what now”? Is this it? Am I really that worthless? Can it get any worse? These are simply questions the enemy is placing in your mind trying to turn you against God, because the next thing will be: “God must truly hate me”.
Now, for one God loves you beyond human capacity, because Jesus gave His life for you. Then we need to remember that we will have tribulation and we will have it difficult, because we life for Jesus. Now the closer you get to living it right the harder it will be, because the enemy will do anything to steal a soul from heaven.

I was down and I still have no idea how it will all fall into place, but what I do know and what I will never let go off is the love of my Father and His promise to carry me through my battles and to uplift me. He will restore it all and He will show me the way. I need to spend more time with Him in His word and I need to listen. Finally, I must not give up or give in. The battles may be hard but the reward us way worth it. If you find yourself in a place where you also feel that the walls are coming down and the wheels are giving in remember this: Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So, we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.

Have an awesome day.

I love you, my friend in Jesus.

Cheers
