Today I am reminded of the Roman officer that send his people to ask Jesus to heal his paralysed servant. He said that he is under authority and when he says do this they obey and do as he asks. He went on to say that he is not worthy for the Lord to enter his house and that if Jesus would just speak it, his servant would be healed. In this he demonstrated profound faith because he understood spiritual authority. Here in Psalm 33 David writes that God merely spoke and the heavens were created. His Word is life giving and as we read His Word, we are filled by the very bread that nourishes our soul and spirit. As I continue to battle with my fight for my daughter I am reminded by God that His Word reigns true and that He will frustrate the plans of the wicked and their schemes. Every day we battle the enemy on various levels and God wants us to remember that He sees every man and He will be a shield to us against the arrows of the enemy and He will be our help in these battles. Jesus said we cannot live by bread alone but by every Word that comes from His mouth. I encourage you to seek the Holy Spirit today in all you face and in all you must do. From simply walking (walking with Him) to making decisions (seek guidance) or doing your work (seek knowledge and wisdom). When God speaks, things change.
