Today Reminder - 29 June 2012 (Obedient)

My prayer for you for today is that you will live God’s children, holy and obedient – in Jesus name.

1 Peter 1:13-16
So think clearly and exercise self-control. Look forward to the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. So you must live as God's obedient children. Don't slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn't know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, "You must be holy because I am holy."

Obedient - "You must be holy because I am holy." I guess old habits die hard. It is so easy for us to slip back into our old ways and disobey the will of God. How easy it for us to let our emotions take control of our decisions and lead us astray from the path that God wants us to follow. How many times do we not seek our own desire instead of that which God wants us to do?

Peter reminds us here that we should not slip back into our old ways but we must live holy in everything we do. Jesus said that we must be holy because He is holy. The spirit of God that dwells within us makes us holy. In God your whole identity has changed and the person you were is no more. You are a child of God living as an ambassador of His grace filled with His spirit so that you can be holy just as He who is in you is holy.

My dear friend, in everything that we do we must seek God’s will and satisfaction. In the end I want God to be proud of me, not my friends. In the end I want God to uplift me and not the people of this world. In the end it is all about Him and not about me… so live today to be holy and seek God's desires for you

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus
Cheers

Today Reminder - 28 June 2012 (Live by faith)

My prayer for you for today is that you will keep on trusting the Lord even though you have never seen Him, in Jesus name.

1 Peter 1:8-9
You love Him even though you have never seen Him. Though you do not see Him now, you trust Him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting Him will be the salvation of your souls.

We live by faith and not by sight - The reward for trusting Him will be the salvation of your souls. Then Jesus told him, "You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me." (John 20:29)
It is in our faith and trust in Jesus that we will find true joy. He is and was and will always be, there is no substitute and no other like Him. Even though we travel through difficult times we must keep our eyes focused on Him. It is the moments when we do not seek Him that we can fall so easily.

Faith to me is that warm and indescribable feeling of knowing that is inside you and nothing can change it. It is the stars in heaven, the sunset and sunrise, the friendships we have, love and ultimately it is the joy that drives us.

My dear friend to love Him and trust Him is the one thing that sets us apart from a world filled with good and bad. It is the reward that awaits us at the end of this journey that defines who we are and where we are headed. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and live…

Have an awesome day

Today Reminder - 27 June 2012 (Precious)

My prayer for you for today is that you will remain strong in your faith above all that you endure each day, in Jesus name.

1 Peter 1:6-7
So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honour on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Precious - Your faith is far more precious than mere gold. It is in our successes over trials and tests that we confirm where our faith is. It is clear that each new day holds new challenges and has the ability to bring back old ones to continue grinding our faith. How precious is our faith, how important is the trust and believe that you carry in your heart? Even though the enemy will do all in its power to push your faith to the limit and push you overboard. The faith that you hold in your heart is so important and if you can hold on to it amongst and beyond all trials you will be on a level where you will become indestructible. If you completely obey and trust God even when the walls crumble, the result of your faith will be overwhelming.

My dear friend, For All I Truly Have is in Jesus and all I will ever have is in Him. The joy that lies ahead is but only a short while away. Keep your eyes on Jesus and your heart filled with His word, seek His guidance and His wisdom and do not give up. The storm is almost over…

Have a great and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder - 26 June 2012 (Protected)

My prayer for you for today is that you will be safe in God’s hands as you travel on your life-journey, in Jesus name.

1 Peter 1:5
And through your faith, God is protecting you by His power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.

Protected - God is protecting you by His power until you receive this salvation. God has done so many miracles in our lives and around us. I have heard so many testimonies of His great love, and yet we are always quick to point out the bad and turn a blind eye to the good. I believe if we stop focussing our attention on all the bad and start pointing out the good and giving God His rightful praise, we will see so much more.

Negative thoughts breed more negative thoughts and we can only defeat negativity with positivity. We can only defeat bad with good. The more we will point out the nice things and give the bad less place in our lives, the more God will be visible and the enemy will lose its foothold.

My dear friend, a positive God filled mind is the most powerful mind. Let us take on this new day with positive thoughts seeking out the good and making a point of acknowledging it. Live to be the change maker.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder - 25 June 2012 (Chosen)

My prayer for you for today is that you will know that you are who you are not by chance, in Jesus name.

1 Peter 1:2
God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and His Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed Him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. May God give you more and more grace and peace.

Chosen - God the Father knew you and chose you long ago. Every part of who you are has been designed and created by God. He made you who you are for a special purpose - His purpose! And each day you can live to reach that purpose or ultimately you can live it. You see we are all made in God’s creation to glorify Him. Each one of us in his way has been made to fit in at just the right place. And each one of us travels through this world living our lives and walking along our journey. Your journey can lead you to many places or it can lead you to many people or your journey has already brought you where you are needed. I believe that it is the small things we do that eventually make the big things so great. It is those things that we probably don’t even notice that leads up to become the stuff that we cannot forget. Just like a small boy born from unknown parents who grew up as a carpenter and eventually saved the entire human race. We are not defined by the way we handle greatness, but by the way we humble ourselves in the small things. We can live our whole lives waiting for that moment or we can be that moment in everything we face and do.

My dear friend, just like a fire fighter storms a burning building almost every day of his life, not seeking glory, but instead to save lives, we too can start each day not for the glory moments but for the small moments, not thinking of ourselves but instead thinking of those we meet.  Come and let us be mood changers, people changers and finally city changers.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 22 June 2012 (Who am I)

My prayer for you for today is that you will find your identity in Jesus Christ and that you will live it out in everything you do, in Jesus name.

1 Peter 1:1
This letter is from Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ.

Who am I – I can’t help but to think about Peter and the life he lived, from the man that he was to the man that he became in Jesus Christ. From a man that denied his God and his friend to a man that gave his life for that God and friend. Peter was afraid just like so many of us to show who he really was – a follower and a disciple of Jesus Christ. He denied it three times and on the third he realised his mistake and broke down in tears of sorrow.

My dear friend, do not make the mistake of denying Jesus but instead live to show Him to the world and those around you so that you too can say: But Peter said, "I don't have any silver or gold for you. But I'll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!"

Get up! If you want to walk in His ways, you must stand up. If you want to show Him through your life, you must get up and live it out. If you want to have Peter’s faith, you must get up and seek God.

Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man's feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. I can do anything through Christ that strengthens me.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder - 21 June 2012 (Time)

My prayer for you for today is that you pray more, in Jesus name.

James 5:13-15
Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.

Time - Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. How much time of your day do you give to God? Prayer is such an important part of our relationship with God. It should be our special time that we set aside in our day for the Lord. When we are going through difficult times we are quick to find time for God, but when things are good we tend to put God aside and rather do other things.

My dear friend, with prayer we can move mountains. As Myan would say: “It is not having great faith, but having faith in a great God” It is not God that needs to make time for us, it is us that should make time for Him. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. Prayer is one of the building blocks that we need to survive the constant hardships that lie in our journey. Prayer brings us closer to God and prayer establishes a very needed and vital relationship with God.

Make time for God and He will lift you up.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder - 20 June 2012 (Darkness)

My prayer for you for today is that you will know that nothing can ever be greater than God, in Jesus name.

James 5:10-11
For examples of patience in suffering, dear brothers and sisters, look at the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. We give great honour to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the Lord was kind to him at the end, for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy.

Darkness - for the Lord is full of tenderness and mercy. Why is there darkness, so that we can see the stars. Today I want to remind you of something so important that the knowledge of it will change your life. God is greater than any circumstance, heartache, problem or anything that you are facing. I believe that it is in our dark times that we see the light of Jesus so much clearer. Don’t ever think that you are not worthy. Jesus came to set the captives free, He came to the lost and the broken. In the midst of all that Job faced in his life, he remained faithful because he saw God in it all. We could never know what God’s reasons are, but we do know that He will never leave us.

My dear friend, you cannot save yourself. Only Jesus can! There is nothing that you can do to buy salvation, Jesus already bought it with His life. It is in the midst of our pain that we must cry out to God and take our problems to Him. Don’t tell God how great your problems are, tell your problems how great your God is.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Every day is a gift

Every day is a gift

Every morning I wake making my way out into the world
The crisp cool morning air softly touching my face with cold hands
A slow sunrise brings darkness to his knees
And a new day rises over an already woken city
The rush of the day runs chills down my back
I can rush in and join the race
But instead I stand
I wait
I see
A new day
A new beginning
A new chance to give back life to the world
A new chance to show life to a lifeless world

Today Reminder - 19 June 2012 (Short)

My prayer for you for today is that you will know what you ought to do and that you will have the courage to do it, in Jesus name.

James 4:13-17
Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” Otherwise you are boasting about your own plans, and all such boasting is evil. Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

Short - Your life is like the morning fog… This section in our scripture for today made me think for a little while. I guess you will never realise how short life truly is until you find yourself at the end of it. I believe it is like most things in life, we don’t know what we have until we don’t have it anymore. What really caught my attention is this: What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” Otherwise you are boasting about your own plans, and all such boasting is evil. Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

My dear friend, more now than ever I realise that each day we live is a gift. It is much like a gift all wrapped up, and as the day progresses we unfold and unwrap it. We can choose to see the beauty of it and share what we were given or we can see all the negativity and allow that to change our mood. You are not bound by this world instead you are a child of God, a citizen of heaven on a journey of self-discovering side by side with Jesus. You can do what people do when they are given a gift, you can share the joy…

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder - 18 June 2012 (Judge)

My prayer for you for today is that you will not judge other but instead help and guide them, in Jesus name.

James 4:11-12
Don't speak evil against each other, dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize and judge each other, then you are criticizing and judging God's law. But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you. God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbour?

Judge - God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. Judging people is such a normal thing for us to do. We find it so easy to criticize other and to gossip about them. It is almost as if we made ourselves King and ruler and with that came the power to judge. How many times have we not judged incorrectly and how many times have we not made a mistake in our assumptions. Judging people is not our strong point. God and God alone have the right and the ability to judge other, but most of all, my dear friend, is that God will judge you in the same way you judged other.

It is so important that we should seek the good in other first before we try and assume who or what they are or what they did wrong. Just think for a minute how you would feel if you stand trial and you are judged on assumptions that someone made up. Not only will you feel betrayed but you will be angry.

My dear friend let us seek the good in other and let us keep away from judging. Seek God’s counsel and His guidance in knowing how to think about other. Jesus should be your example: Love even if it hurts.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder - 15 June 2012 (Humble)

My prayer for you for today is that you will resist all evil and humbly follow the guidance of God, in Jesus name.

James 4:7-10
So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up in honour.

Humble - So humble yourselves before God. I believe that you should follow Jesus with a humble, dependent and loyal heart. There are three things that stand out in this scripture and I will highlight them for you:

So humble yourselves before God – It is so important that we are humble. Pride can destroy us and pride on its own will separate you from God. When we truly love we will humbly place ourselves in the background and live to show Jesus in all that we do. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up in honour.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you – As long as the devil has a grip on you he will use it with every chance he gets. If we resist him, he will have no power over us and the things of this world will not matter anymore.

Come close to God, and God will come close to you – I love this and believe me it is so true. The closer we move towards God, the closer He comes to us, and the closer God is to us the more of Him will be visible in us.

My dear friend, today we will start to resist the devil and all the temptation this world can possibly bring as we humble ourselves before God to move closer to Him so that He will be visible in all that we are and in all that we do. Live to know Jesus and know to live Jesus.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder - 14 June 2012 (The tongue)

My prayer for you for today is that every word that you will speak today will be a blessing for you and those around you, in Jesus name.

The tongue - Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. Today we are reminded to think before we speak, to bless instead of hurt, to control our tongues. Today’s chapter in James 3 is so powerful that I want to share it all with you.

Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way. We can make a large horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth. And a small rudder makes a huge ship turn wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong. In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself. People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! Does a spring of water bubble out with both fresh water and bitter water? Does a fig tree produce olives, or a grapevine produce figs? No, and you can't draw fresh water from a salty spring. (James 3:2-12)

My dear friend, let us try and build people up instead of breaking them down.

Have an awesome day

Cheers

Today Reminder - 13 June 2012 (Good deeds part 2)

My prayer for you for today is that you will be your faith, in Jesus name.

James 2:17
So you see, faith by itself isn't enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.

Good deeds part 2 – Actions speak louder than words. James writes about faith without works and makes it clear that faith leads to good deeds. It is our faith that takes us to the needy, it is our faith that leads us to the broken hearted, it is our faith that makes us pray for other. James writes that believing alone is not enough, we must act – (verse 19-20) You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. How foolish! Can't you see that faith without good deeds is useless?

My dear friend, the very last message Jesus gave on the mountain before He went up to heaven was:  Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28)

Therefore our faith is not an idle faith but a faith of works and deeds leading those that are astray to one and only living God. It is through our faith that we will be saved and it is this gift that must drive the passion in us to take this message to the world through the love of Jesus.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder - 12 June 2012 (People)

My prayer for you for today is that you will not discriminate but love equally, in Jesus name.

James 2:12-13
So whatever you say or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the law that sets you free. There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when He judges you.

People - doesn't this discrimination show that your judgments are guided by evil motives? In this chapter of James he specifically compares the reaction of people towards rich and poor people. He mentions this in verse 2 – 4: For example, suppose someone comes into your meeting dressed in fancy clothes and expensive jewellery, and another comes in who is poor and dressed in dirty clothes. If you give special attention and a good seat to the rich person, but you say to the poor one, "You can stand over there, or else sit on the floor"—well, doesn't this discrimination show that your judgments are guided by evil motives?

My dear friend, the inheritance God promised to those who love Him and believes in His son Jesus Christ is for all that follows Him. God has no favourites and He does not look at your achievements.  He looks at your heart! If you love with a divided heart, you will be judged accordingly. So come with me today and let’s be more tolerant and let us love equally for that is the love that Jesus showed on the cross when He gave His life for everyone.

Have an awesome “love everyone day”, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 11 June 2012 (Corrupt)

My prayer for you for today is that you will not allow this world to corrupt you, in Jesus name.

James 1:26-27
If you claim to be religious but don't control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.

Corrupt - Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. To follow Jesus is a way of live, it is a complete makeover from the person you were to person you are meant to be. Each one of us is designed for more than what we believe we can be, but in the eyes of God we cannot live double lives. You cannot be religious and worldly at the same time, you are either for God or you are against Him. There is no in-between Christian, there can only be a complete Christian. It is sad that the world will judge Christianity on those that are not fully for God.

My dear friend, if we are to follow Jesus, we are to be like Him. We have to stand against the worldly influence and see past the present. Our eyes must be focused on God and the promise He gave us in His son Jesus Christ of everlasting life. Come and stand with me today is we will be Christians in body, mind and soul. Let us be the mirror that reflects Jesus to the world. Let us be different to bring about difference.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder - 08 June 2012 (Understand)

My prayer for you for today is that you will be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to get angry and that you will accept the word God has planted in your hearts, in Jesus name.

James 1:19-21
Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.

Understand - Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. Anger can produce so may wrong results and can hurt so much in so many ways. It is one of the emotions that we allow too much space in our lives. I think we get angry most of the time without thinking, we just move from quiet to angry in seconds. Anger directly causes hurt, because when we are angry we do not think and therefore say what we should not have said. It can cause distance in a relationship and it can break trust and respect. Anger can be lethal.

My dear friend, anger is not what God intended. If we truly love one another we will not get angry, yes we will speak out when someone is in the wrong place or heading down the wrong path, but not in anger – in love. Anger has only a negative side, never a positive one. For example: Has anger towards other drivers on the road ever gotten you to work faster? No, instead it could make you do stupid things with your car that can cause an accident.

Let the Holy Spirit be your guide in all the situations that can make you angry, and listen to God’s word in your heart as you fight anger with love, and speak from your heart. So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.

Have an awesome “Happy Place” day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder - 07 June 2012 (Possession)

My prayer for you for today is that you will know you are a prized possession, in Jesus name.

James 1:16-18
So don't be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. He chose to give birth to us by giving us His true word. And we, out of all creation, became His prized possession.

Possession - And we, out of all creation, became His prized possession. It is important that we remember today that God never changes. He is always the same and He will always love us the same. All good things come from God and He can take any bad situation and turn it around. If I look up to the night sky and I see all the stars, it is almost as if they shout out the existence and presence of God. Each of them is placed where they are by God and each one has a purpose to glorify God. Just as they are placed in position, we are also placed in position by God every day of our lives, and that is to honour Him. We need to be patient in this process, because God works in His timeframe with His plan and we will fit in perfectly at the right time.

My dear friend, above all creation is us, we are God’s prized possessions and He only wants the best for each one of us. Do not be misled by evil and challenges in your live, but instead see each challenge as a new learning curve to come closer to your destination.  See each problem as an opportunity to glorify His name. When we take the “I” out of every situation and replace it with “God”, we will never fail, never fall and never give up. Come dear friend and stand again with me as we centre God in our lives.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder - 06 June 2012 (Temptation)

My prayer for you for today is that you will resist temptation so that you will receive the crown of life that God promised, in Jesus name.

James 1:12-15
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and He never tempts anyone else. Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.

Temptation - God is never tempted to do wrong, and He never tempts anyone else.  Temptation comes in so many forms through our daily lives and we are constantly lured into temptation by our own desire. I believe that desire is not the bad one, but it is the decision that follows the desire that leads to wrong. How do we overcome evil or rather how do we overcome bad desires. When your life belongs to Jesus and He is in you and you are completely committed to Him then God will strengthen you and give you wisdom to know and to overcome. We can channel desire from bad to good. We can live with a desire to please God and this should be your first goal so that when evil come knocking good will rise.

My dear friend, God will never temp you, because He loves you too much and only wants you to succeed. Jesus became human and was tempted just as we are, so He knows what you are going through. Place your desires in His hands and ask Him to help you defeat evil so that we can glorify Him when temptation fails. Let us walk in His light today and stand on His foundation so that we will destroy all temptations and live fully. Come dear friend of Jesus let us sing and dance as we glorify His name over all temptation. I pray that you will be filled with joy and that you will focus on good and resist evil.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder - 05 June 2012 (Generous)

My prayer for you for today is that you will ask God when you need guidance and wisdom and that you will trust and believe Him for an answer with an expectant heart, in Jesus name.

James 1:5-8
If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask Him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

Generous - If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. Today we are reminded that we can go to God with all our needs. James writes here that God is a generous God meaning that He will give what you need when you ask. But a very important note follows: “But when you ask Him, be sure that your faith is in God alone.” We cannot go to God for wisdom and guidance and then seek it in the world. How many times does this not happen? We ask God for help and then we try and do it ourselves. Why would we seek wisdom anywhere else when we can get it from the source of all wisdom, and God will give it with a generous heart – Why? Maybe we are impatient, or maybe we don’t have enough faith or maybe we let ourselves be influenced by people.

My dear friend let us seek our wisdom today from the creator of wisdom and the source of all wisdom. Let us seek it from God, but when we ask Him for wisdom we must do it with complete obedience to His will and with undivided faith.

For the LORD grants wisdom! From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2:6)

Wisdom belongs to the aged, and understanding to the old. "But true wisdom and power are found in God; counsel and understanding are His. (Job 12:12-13)

Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe. (Proverbs 28:26)

In Him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2:3)

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, "He traps the wise
in the snare of their own cleverness." And again, "The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise;
He knows they are worthless." (1 Corinthians 3:19-20)

No human wisdom or understanding or plan can stand against the LORD. (Proverbs 21:30)

Today Reminder - 04 June 2012 (Grow)

My prayer for you for today is that your faith will grow and endure through all the tests and trials that lie ahead, in Jesus name.

James 1:2-4
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

Grow - So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. Wow, with his opening verse James write that we must endure when our faith is tested, in fact he says you must see it as an opportunity for joy. How many people do you know that will sing and dance in the midst of trouble? It is an important thing that we must take with us today and that is: “For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.”

A circumstance has the potential to either break you or make you. It is in the way we handle difficult times and difficult situations that will make us victorious or that will make us fall. Yes, we all make mistakes and yes it might take a number of events until you have grown to a level where you are able to endure and succeed. It is what we do when we fall that determines who we are going to be. It is how we stand up out of the ground and try again that will increase our faith and endurance.

My dear friend, stand up with me today as we rise above any and all tests that will come our way. Stand with me as we put our trust in God and face this day with renewed strength. Stand with me as we will rejoice in our troubles and dance in the midst of our problems. Stand with me as we glorify God for His great love.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder - 01 June 2012 (Sacrifices)

My prayer for you for today is that you will bring joy to those you meet and in that God will be glorified, in Jesus name.

Hebrews 13:15-16
Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to His name. And don't forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.

Sacrifices - These are the sacrifices that please God. The last chapter in Hebrews has so many valuable truths, but this one seemed to stand out today. All over the world there are so much need and so much poverty. I believe it is difficult to understand if you have not been there and your life is quite confortable. It is difficult I think for us in our busy and fast passed lives, and I believe we miss the need or we don’t always see it.

My dear friend, do not close your eyes to the pain and suffering this world brings to so many homes. Help where you can, but seek God’s guidance in this so that He will lead you to where it is needed. In most cases we need not look further than our places of work. I believe there is a great need in our midst and we should be more open and allow God to show us who they are. Most people just need a friend, an ear that will listen, a smile, a warm hallo, a cup of coffee or just the knowledge that you are there.

Do not worship Jesus, but leave Him at home. He should be in all you do and in all you are and in all you say.

And don't forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
