My prayer for you for today is that you will not judge
other but instead help and guide them, in Jesus name.
James
4:11-12
Don't
speak evil against each other, dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize and
judge each other, then you are criticizing and judging God's law. But your job
is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you. God alone, who
gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So
what right do you have to judge your neighbour?
Judge - God alone,
who gave the law, is the Judge. Judging people is such a normal thing for
us to do. We find it so easy to criticize other and to gossip about them. It is
almost as if we made ourselves King and ruler and with that came the power to
judge. How many times have we not judged incorrectly and how many times have we
not made a mistake in our assumptions. Judging people is not our strong point.
God and God alone have the right and the ability to judge other, but most of
all, my dear friend, is that God will judge you in the same way you judged
other.
It is so important that we should seek the good in other
first before we try and assume who or what they are or what they did wrong. Just
think for a minute how you would feel if you stand trial and you are judged on
assumptions that someone made up. Not only will you feel betrayed but you will
be angry.
My dear friend let us seek the good in other and let us
keep away from judging. Seek God’s counsel and His guidance in knowing how to
think about other. Jesus should be your example: Love even if it hurts.
