My prayer for you for today is that you will not discriminate
but love equally, in Jesus name.
James
2:12-13
So
whatever you say or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the
law that sets you free. There will be no mercy for those who have not
shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when
He judges you.
People - doesn't
this discrimination show that your judgments are guided by evil motives? In
this chapter of James he specifically compares the reaction of people towards
rich and poor people. He mentions this in verse 2 – 4: For example, suppose someone comes into your
meeting dressed in fancy clothes and expensive jewellery, and another comes in
who is poor and dressed in dirty clothes. If you give special attention
and a good seat to the rich person, but you say to the poor one, "You can
stand over there, or else sit on the floor"—well, doesn't this
discrimination show that your judgments are guided by evil motives?
My dear friend, the inheritance God promised to those who
love Him and believes in His son Jesus Christ is for all that follows Him. God
has no favourites and He does not look at your achievements. He looks at your heart! If you love with a
divided heart, you will be judged accordingly. So come with me today and let’s
be more tolerant and let us love equally for that is the love that Jesus showed
on the cross when He gave His life for everyone.
Have an awesome “love everyone day”, dear friend of
Jesus.
Cheers
