My prayer for you for today is that you will ask God when
you need guidance and wisdom and that you will trust and believe Him for an
answer with an expectant heart, in Jesus name.
James
1:5-8
If
you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not
rebuke you for asking. But when you ask Him, be sure that your faith is in
God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a
wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should
not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided
between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.
Generous - If you
need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. Today we are
reminded that we can go to God with all our needs. James writes here that God
is a generous God meaning that He will give what you need when you ask. But a
very important note follows: “But when
you ask Him, be sure that your faith is in God alone.” We cannot go to God
for wisdom and guidance and then seek it in the world. How many times does this
not happen? We ask God for help and then we try and do it ourselves. Why would
we seek wisdom anywhere else when we can get it from the source of all wisdom, and
God will give it with a generous heart – Why? Maybe we are impatient, or maybe
we don’t have enough faith or maybe we let ourselves be influenced by people.
My dear friend let us seek our wisdom today from the
creator of wisdom and the source of all wisdom. Let us seek it from God, but
when we ask Him for wisdom we must do it with complete obedience to His will
and with undivided faith.
For
the LORD grants wisdom! From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
(Proverbs 2:6)
Wisdom
belongs to the aged, and understanding to the old. "But true wisdom and
power are found in God; counsel and understanding are His. (Job 12:12-13)
Those
who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is
safe. (Proverbs 28:26)
In Him
lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2:3)
For
the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, "He
traps the wise
in the snare of their own cleverness." And again, "The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise;
He knows they are worthless." (1 Corinthians 3:19-20)
in the snare of their own cleverness." And again, "The LORD knows the thoughts of the wise;
He knows they are worthless." (1 Corinthians 3:19-20)
No
human wisdom or understanding or plan can stand against the LORD. (Proverbs
21:30)
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus
Cheers
