Today Reminder - 25 June 2012 (Chosen)

My prayer for you for today is that you will know that you are who you are not by chance, in Jesus name.

1 Peter 1:2
God the Father knew you and chose you long ago, and His Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed Him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. May God give you more and more grace and peace.

Chosen - God the Father knew you and chose you long ago. Every part of who you are has been designed and created by God. He made you who you are for a special purpose - His purpose! And each day you can live to reach that purpose or ultimately you can live it. You see we are all made in God’s creation to glorify Him. Each one of us in his way has been made to fit in at just the right place. And each one of us travels through this world living our lives and walking along our journey. Your journey can lead you to many places or it can lead you to many people or your journey has already brought you where you are needed. I believe that it is the small things we do that eventually make the big things so great. It is those things that we probably don’t even notice that leads up to become the stuff that we cannot forget. Just like a small boy born from unknown parents who grew up as a carpenter and eventually saved the entire human race. We are not defined by the way we handle greatness, but by the way we humble ourselves in the small things. We can live our whole lives waiting for that moment or we can be that moment in everything we face and do.

My dear friend, just like a fire fighter storms a burning building almost every day of his life, not seeking glory, but instead to save lives, we too can start each day not for the glory moments but for the small moments, not thinking of ourselves but instead thinking of those we meet.  Come and let us be mood changers, people changers and finally city changers.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
