A
reminder for today
"Why
are you so angry?" the Lord asked Cain. "Why do you look so dejected?
(Genesis 4:6)
Jealousy – Cain’s anger and jealousy lead him to kill his
brother and he ended up a homeless wanderer. Jealousy can destroy you and it is
not necessary at all. I think it is one of the enemy’s best deceptive tools
that have worked in the downfall of Christians for decades. How easily do we
get jealous?
We are quick to look at other people and jealousy will
creep in and causes hate which inevitably leads to anger and gossip. Is it
someone’s money or possessions or position or even talents that could make us
jealous?
My dear friend, God’s answer to Cain was “You will be accepted if you do what is
right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching
at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its
master." You too are blessed and you also have talents, each given to
us by God for a special purpose. We have no reason to be jealous of anyone or
anything. All this that causes so much pain, is all only temporary. The moment
you realise that, you will also realise it is pointless to compare you with
other. Each of us is uniquely crafted for God’s special purpose and each of us
is blessed with special abilities and talents.
Don’t hide your talents, but make use of them for His
glory.
Don’t look at someone else, but look at Jesus and compare
your life to His. He is the only real and true example of how we should be and
how we should live.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
