Today Reminder - 16 October 2012 (Mistakes)

A reminder for today
The man replied, "It was the woman you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it." (Genesis 3:12)

Mistakes – I guess it is a natural response in human nature to seek a reason for making a mistake. We would rather get angry and blame someone or something for our mistakes than seek out our own faults. Is it pride? Is it that we strive for perfection in an imperfect world? Or do we just like to make ourselves feel better at someone else's expense?

Adam and Eve were punished for their disobedience in the Garden of Eden that left them banished from the garden to live of the land with hard work. Their mistake cost them dearly. Making mistakes is part of life and in them we learn and we grow. Allowing yourself to make a mistake and excepting the punishment that follows is part of forgiveness.

Forgiveness plays such a vital role in our daily lives. Not only does it free you from the guilt, but it sets you free from the grip of the enemy. You see the enemy does not want you to succeed. He wants you to fail until you get to a point where you give up and slip into darkness. God on the other hand wants you to be free and to succeed, otherwise He would not have send His son to save you.

My dear friend, make mistakes and accept the result. Forgive, because God forgave you.

My prayer for you is that you will accept your mistakes and forgive yourself for them and those that make mistakes around you, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
