Today Reminder – 30 June 2015 (Day 21 – Break the walls)

A reminder for today
People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy. (Proverbs 28:13)

Today I need forgiveness from my sins and I need to move on and away from the hurt and anger that follows them. People are so quick to point a finger and condemn other but what they don’t realise is that they are casting judgement over themselves. I can’t help but to think of the following verse: and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. (Matthew 6:12)

Do to others as you would like them to do to you. (Luke 6:31) You see that in the end we only condemn ourselves. We judge others but we are only judging ourselves. Our hate and anger then turns back onto ourselves and we are the one that is hated as we cause angers to flare up.

In order for us to break the walls that hold us back we need to put the past behind us. Like Timon said in Disney’s Lion King “Put your behind in the past”. Take those bricks that you created that are made up of anger and judgement and sin and put them behind you. Let the Lord guide you as you find closure to move on past them.

Yes people will remind you of your mistakes and yes they will always try and hurt you with your bricks, but when Jesus takes them and He leads you past them, then none of these bricks will ever hurt again. It is merely the enemy that is trying to hurt you and force you back to where you started. It is the enemy’s goal to let you fail, therefore he will use anyone to try and break you. I love to remind the devil of his future. My past might be dark and empty but my future is with Jesus. His future is an eternity of pain and suffering. In that case I am happy to carry my burdens and accept all the hate and judgement this world can throw at me.

If they can’t see the truth, then the truth will be their judgement. No more walls my friend, no more walls.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 29 June 2015 (Day 20 – Break the walls)

A reminder for today
"Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God—something the law of Moses could never do”. (Acts 13:38-39)

Today it feels as if all my walls returned. This weekend I realised that there is still so much that I need to deal with and so much that I need forgiveness for and that I need to forgive and let go. It is difficult when so many things remind you of your mistakes.

So these verses are for me today. Through this man Jesus Christ I will find forgiveness and I will be declared right with God. This is ultimately the only thing that we should be concerned about. We should not break our own free will and destroy our spirit in search of forgiveness from people. We should seek it from God and in Jesus we have received this forgiveness. All we need to do is to accept it and accept Jesus.

There are no law that dictates rules that we need to follow in this regard. There is only the love of God that surpasses all logic and destroys all hate. His love took all our sins and destroyed them making us right in His sight.
He knows all we are going through and He will renew us and heal our pain.

I am saddened by my own heartache, but I am rejuvenated by the freedom I have in Jesus Christ.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 26 June 2015 (Day 19 – Break the walls)

A reminder for today
Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:12)

Today I look at my life and the many fights we have survived. I look at the good and the bad and the happy moments and the sad ones.it is funny how I can almost see a picture in my head with each moment. Life is all about “up’s” and “down’s”. Sometimes we hurt because of what we did and sometimes we hurt because of what other did to us or said about us. Sometimes we hurt, because other hurt.

No matter where you find yourself today I want you to remember that our fight is not one we will lose. Our fight is one we will win and we will rejoice with the Lord in eternity when we reach the end of our lives. You are a warrior, my friend, and most of all you must remember that you are a warrior in the army of God. Our battles are never ending, because each day we fight to defeat a relentless enemy.

So no matter how much it hurts and how sad you are for what other have done to you and maybe still does to you – Fight the good fight for the true faith, because our faith will shine in our worst moments.

Hold tightly on the eternal life, because this world in not our world. We are merely here for a moment, so life that moment without regret and with love and joy.

In your love and joy other will find freedom. Life is glorious, because Jesus gave His so that we can live our lives free and full. So love, laugh and enjoy every moment.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 25 June 2015 (Day 18 – Break the walls)

A reminder for today
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

Sometimes we feel so weak and powerless. It feels as if the world turned on us and broke our will. Situations, people and challenges can have huge emotional effects on us. We find ourselves in a place where we become negative and we do not see the way forward. We feel lost.

These verses are so powerful, because sometimes life can build walls that we create between us and the Lord and between us and our happiness. Sometimes we create these walls and we forget about them but they remain in our sub conscious mind.

My friend, today I want to remind both you and me that we have unlimited strength in the Holy Spirit. When we look past our struggles and break the walls that bind us to them, we will walk in freedom and the strength of the Lord will glow through us. No wave will ever sink our ship, for our ship sails on Holy Spirit power.

When you see the Lord and your wall falls to pieces, your will be renewed as you reconcile with the Lord. A fire will light up in you that every eye will see and we will tell the world about Jesus Christ with a passion that overflows from within us.

When Jesus takes the steer, your ship will fly.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 24 June 2015 (Day 17 – Break the walls)

A reminder for today
The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. (Psalm 23:1)

We are so quick to look at material things as a need in our lives. We allow possessions to create walls between us and the Lord. We measure success in what we have and who we are. We elevate ourselves to a position where we see only ourselves and we hide God so that we can call on Him only when we feel like it.

Every morning when I pick up the kids I look at our home which we now sold and I feel sad to lose it. I really liked that house and the area, but today I know that it is only a brick in my wall that I have created between me and the Lord. It is only a house, but to me it is the memories that fades away with it.

David writes here that the Lord is His keeper and he’s got all that he needs. I have read these verses a million times but today I see them the way the Holy Spirit wants me to look at them. With Jesus we have all that we need, because it is not the need of the world that we must focus on, it is the need to be with Jesus in eternity. All the possessions in the world will not be able to give you entry to heaven. Jesus is the only way and His way is a humble and content way. Jesus showed us that we do not need possessions.

Jesus told him, "If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, for he had many possessions. (Matthew 19:21-22)

These verses must let you think - We do not need “stuff”, we need Jesus. We need to look past our self and we need to see Jesus and the way He wants us to be. He wants us to live and be free. He will look after us and protect us. We must give Him our lives and live for His glory and not our own glory.

Be humble, my friend, because in our humbleness we will show great strength.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
