Today Reminder – 03 July 2015 (Day 3 – Forward)

A reminder for today
Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy! The deserts will become as green as the mountains of Lebanon, as lovely as Mount Carmel or the plain of Sharon. There the LORD will display his glory, the splendour of our God. (Isaiah 35:2)

My dear friend, today I want to renew your hope. In our journey we often find ourselves in desert land. Desert land to me is when you are in a place of hopelessness. There is no water in a desert and it is filled with miles and miles of sand that is blown against you by an ever present wind. The sun scorches down and burns your face as you struggle to climb one dune after the next leaving you exhausted and thirsty.

Now our desert land that we cross in our life journey is a place where our challenges is like those dunes, they seem endless and we are constantly thirsty with a need to break out of this. This is often combined by a feeling of hopelessness where we would rather give up than carry on.

Today I want to paint you the image that God wants you to see in your desert. He wants you to see a desert filled with flowers and green like a forest next to a river. There is joy and singing as people rejoice in what was once a dry and empty place. This is where the Lord will display His glory. This is where the Lord will display His splendour.

Do not allow the enemy to distort your image of how God sees our deserts. The enemy want us to me miserable and sad. The enemy hates happy people and happy people are God’s people. So let us stand up and sing with joy for our deserts are now a green and beautiful forest filled with hope and possibilities.

With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands, and encourage those who have weak knees. Say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you." (Verse 3 and 4)

One last thing my friend, I am taking a few days of and will not write to you next week. But I will be back after my week and I trust that my journey will reveal more of God’s wonder so that I can write to you about His love and grace. I enjoy our time together therefore I will shall write to you as soon as I return for we are one in Jesus Christ, our Lord and saviour.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
