A
reminder for today
He
gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become
weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in
the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They
will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
(Isaiah 40:29-31)
I feel tired today. This week has been exhausting and I can
feel how the burdens of what lay ahead weights heavy on me. I can see it in my
sleeping patterns, because my mind doesn’t shut down at night. Have you ever felt
that you just don’t want to get up in the morning and your whole body feels
tired and exhausted? It feels as if someone stole your smile as you worry how
you will get through this. Then there is the mental exhaustion as you fight in
your mind with all the outcomes that might happen and what could go wrong.
I love Isaiah 40. We are reminded again how
important it is to trust in the Lord. Everyone will become weak and tired, but
those who trust the in the Lord will find new strength. They will run and never
grow weary. This is so important for us to remember.
You see the enemy want us to think we cannot do it; they
want us to give up. This matches yesterday’s post so nicely. If our perspective
is correct and we place our trust in the Lord we will soar high on wings like eagles.
Today we do not take a step forward. Today we run and we
will not get weary. We will walk and never faint. We will soar high above our
worries on the wings of the Holy Spirit. Today we take back our happiness and
destroy the enemy at the gates.
My trust is in you Lord. I am invincible!
