Today Reminder – 31 August 2015 (Day 20 – You)

A reminder for today
"I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5)

There are so much wonderful things in you, my friend. When the Lord planned you, He knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb. God had a plan and a dream for you even before you existed. He designed you for His purpose long before the world even knew about you.

You see, my friend, you are special. You are made to be perfect no matter your flaws and mistakes. You are made to shine no matter your darkness and the darkness that overwhelms you. You are made to succeed no matter the impossibilities that await you. You are made to be victorious no matter the battles that life holds for you. You are made to be beautiful no matter what other say and you are made to be every bit of who you are, because in you are all the qualities to be what you are made to be.

Today I just want to remind you that you are awesome and no matter what other say or do, you are made by God for His glory and in His image. You are an amazing combination of miracles united to create a beautiful and wonderful person. You are so important to God that He gave His Son for you.

You are special in every possible way imaginable.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 28 August 2015 (Day 19 – You)

A reminder for today
My hands have made both heaven and earth; they and everything in them are mine. I, the LORD, have spoken!
"I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word.” (Isaiah 66:2)

I woke up this morning and I lay for a moment listening at the quiet night and the city noises around me. I could hear my boys sleeping in the next room and I was filled with content. I waited for a moment as if I was waiting for you Lord. I have many questions, yet my answers are still evading me. I have many concerns and yet I fear the outcomes. I have many regrets yet I know you forgave them and I have many problems yet you are in control of all of them.

I got up and covered my boys and stood there for a moment looking at them as they slept so peacefully. I know that their hearts is in your hands yet I worry about those tiny hearts. I went on and had my morning shake as I waited for the tumble dryer to end so that I can iron our clothes.

I stood there in that quiet semi dark kitchen and I felt you Lord as you placed your hand on me. I felt your calm grace covering me like I covered my sons with their blankets. I felt that my soul relaxed and peaceful as they were. I felt your presence and I was overwhelmed again at the wonder of your love.

I know I am yours just as they are yours and I am in awe of you Lord. I carried on and prepared their lunch boxes and the things they needed for school until my youngest finally woke up.

I am excited at your plans for me Lord even though I have no idea what awaits me; I know we will be great.

I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 27 August 2015 (Day 18 – You)

A reminder for today
The wolf and the lamb will feed together. The lion will eat hay like a cow. But the snakes will eat dust.
In those days no one will be hurt or destroyed on my holy mountain. I, the LORD, have spoken!" (Isaiah 65:25)

Is it easier to say 'Your sins are forgiven,' or 'Stand up and walk'? (Matthew 9:5) I listened to an amazing message given by Pastor Shane on Regret and what was evident from what he said is that we all deal and carry regret in our lives. You know the kind that if you could have a do over you will take it. The type of stuff that we do not wish to see on Facebook or social media. Dealing with regret is something that we all struggle with and so I want to look back at these words Jesus said: Is it easier to say 'Your sins are forgiven,' or 'Stand up and walk'?

When we look at the resurrection and the whole process that Jesus went through and we grasp the concept that He died and took with Him our sins. This means that Jesus knew we will make a mistake and although He does not want us to, we do. It is then when He comes and gives us the do over moment. His love and His counselling are focussed on getting us back on track and heading towards heaven. God does not want you to go to hell, going there is a choice you make for yourself.  God wants you with Him and so He will do anything to make sure you reach your destination, even if you fall a million times.

Jesus teaches us that He will forgive you for the same sin seventy times seven each day. This is our example which means you must be that forgiving too. Regret should not measure who you are, salvation and redemption is the key to who you are and who you can become.

So today I want you to remember that your sins are forgiven so stand up and walk. Stop allowing the enemy to condemn you, and start living in the grace that Jesus is giving you. Stop looking back and start moving towards you destiny. No person can take what you have in Jesus and no mistake you made can alter His love for you. Do not believe that you are not worthy of salvation, because salvation is for all of us. So you made a mistake, I know and so does Jesus.

Stand up and walk, my friend, because in those days no one will be hurt or destroyed on my holy mountain. I, the LORD, have spoken!"

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 26 August 2015 (Day 17 – You)

A reminder for today
I will tell of the LORD's unfailing love. I will praise the LORD for all he has done. I will rejoice in his great goodness to Israel, which he has granted according to his mercy and love. (Isaiah 63:7)

What makes us argue and fight? Is it our stubbornness to not see someone else’s way or is it our selfishness to seek only our own need and what we require? Do we look at people and circumstances through the eyes of Jesus or do we only know Him when we need Him? Do we stand and praise Him in the church and then forget Him when we do not get our way and or when we are upset?

I am very sensitive to the way people talk to me and I must admit a slight change in your voice triggers my misconception and normally ends in an argument. It is something I need to work on, but I guess in every person there are faults and we all can’t be perfect all the time. The only solution is to meet each other half way. if we do not agree we must always seek a middle way that allows both parties to get a portion of what they need. Sometimes we must give in a little more, but this does not mean we will lose that part. Somewhere in the future that little you gave more will be returned to you in tenfold.

God loves us and when we seek the understanding ear and agreeing heart of a friend, we seek an ally in our pain. Does God not love us more and does He not have more grace than our best friend? Do not turn away from God, my friend, but run towards Him. When we find ourselves in an heated argument, we should stop for a moment and ask God what He would want us to do and how would He want us to react. Just remember that Jesus gave His life for you and that is the extent of His love. Should we not do the same?

I will tell of the LORD's unfailing love. I will praise the LORD for all he has done.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 25 August 2015 (Day 16 – You)

A reminder for today
Go out through the gates! Prepare the highway for my people to return! Smooth out the road; pull out the boulders; raise a flag for all the nations to see. (Isaiah 62:10)

I must say that each day in the gym proves to be an experience. There are the most interesting people in God’s creation. You get the newbie’s that has absolutely no idea what they are doing and they are on a “Men’s Health” workout that is recommended for advanced athletes on their way to an injury, then there are the models. They are the ones that visit the gym each day but most of their exercises are focussed on glancing in the mirror and looking around to see who noticed their impeccable physique, make up and designer wear. Then you get the power lifters, this group of extraordinary individuals are huge fans of “The Hulk” because they focus on lifting weights that far surpasses their strength, yet they make it look like it was a piece of cake. Then you find the muscle mania self-obsessed types. They have fairly good bodies and spend most of their workouts standing around and giving advice, while flexing. Then you find the tourist, they travel from machine to machine enjoying a good hours rest. Then you get the workers, they come in, they work hard and they go. They are always focussed and they train almost every day. Yes they are all unique and each one has their own individuality, yet it almost seems sad to see how we live past each other and focus so much on ourselves.

I love this verse. Go out through the gates! Prepare the highway for my people to return! We are here to show Jesus to the world and we fail terribly most of the time. We can be so self-consumed and worldly that we miss opportunities to change lives. Yesterday a friend reminded me that we must become more like Jesus.

Less of us more of Him – This means we will project who He is and give a clearer picture of His love to the people around us. This will not only affect other but change who we are and who we are meant to be. It is not about you, my friend. It is all about Jesus.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus
