A
reminder for today
Take
delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart's desires.
(Psalm 37:4)
Today is our little one’s birthday and the excitement is
just unbelievable. He has been looking forward to this birthday all week and so
today we made him feel extra special.
Love is a lot like having a birthday. You must always
feel special to that someone you love and vice versa. To be together should be
like having a birthday every day. It must be exciting and you should feel as if
you are the only person in the world that is so lucky.
The Lord wants to remind us today that we are that
special. In His eyes we are amazing in every sense of the word. We are loved
more that we can understand and He wants to give us the desires of our hearts,
but first and foremost our desire must be more of Him. We must desire more time
with Him and seek Him every moment of every day. Then we must take delight in
the Lord and His wonder. We must take delight in His love for us and we must
bask in His presence and soak up His mercy. We must give all that we are for
Him and love Him with all our heart. Then our love will grow to perfection so
when we love another we will love fully and completely.
Love is God and God is love. Love cannot exist if God is
not present in all we are and in all that we do. We must always bring God first
into our relationships then our relationships will be measured against truth
and faith and we will experience a higher level of intimacy.
So today I pray that the Lord will give you the desires
of your heart, but first I pray that you will long for the Lord as a deer longs
for water and that the Lord will keep you safe as you walk on high places and
keep your feet steady so that you will not fall, but that you will succeed. I pray
for love and love in abundance so that we will never feel neglected and that we
will fulfil each other’s needs thus keeping the devil away from our happiness.
