Today Reminder – 13 October 2015

A reminder for today
A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare. (Proverbs 15:1)

So I find myself in a storm of frustration and no way to control it. It is boiling from within and I can’t seem to get it out of my system. This obviously creates more conflict, because I just can’t seem to get my point across. So the best advice I got is to let it go. Just let it go. I have absolutely no idea how I am going to do that.

You see I think when we love someone you should always have that out of the ball park over the moon kind of feeling. When you kiss it should light up a stadium and when you hug it should feel as if you have touched a power line. There should be this flow of love that binds you that flows when you hug. In fact I believe a hug should always give you a smile on your face, because you know it is magic. Affection should never be something that you force, it should be natural. It must be like a car that is always in automatic drive and never stops. Affection should start from the moment you see each other and it should keep that butterfly feeling in your stomach all day until you see each other again. To love someone is to want to be with that person all the time and when you are together it should be like two little children. You should just carry on where you were the last time you were together.

The moment it becomes work you should rethink your place or position and consider what went wrong. God is all about love and His love flows all the time. His love heals people and change hearts. His love wakes people from the dead and His love makes a fearful man and fearsome warrior. If your love is not a fire that consumes your being than it is time you light your fire.

Why do we argue then? I believe we argue, because we love. It is the moment we stop fighting for what we want, that love dies. A gentle word is the best answer, but sometimes we need to fight to make someone see. What if they don’t want to see? You should never change someone. They should want to be all they can be for you as you would want to be all you can for them.

So today I pray for you and your loved ones. I pray that the Lord will light the fire in you and that your next hug and kiss will make a nuclear bomb look small. I pray that your love will flow and every time you touch, the skies will explode and the world will jump. I pray that your affection for each other will be the drive force that ignites your hearts into a symphony of song. I pray that love will overcome.

In Jesus name.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
