A reminder for
today
And when Christ, who
is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. (Colossians 3:4)
Christmas is just 4 days away as most people are on leave
and companies are closing for their December breaks. I love to write to you
about the way the world is trying to conceal the truth of Christmas by waiting
for the arrival of an old guy with a bag of tricks on sleigh pulled by magic
rain deer. What a bunch of nonsense. But yes let’s compare the lives of those
following the lie and those following the truth. So you have two options. Option
A is giving your life to Jesus and risking the fact that you will be prosecuted
and condemned and around every corner the enemy will wait with new plan to make
you fall and destroy you or you can choose Option B. this means you have to be
good the whole year and then santa will land on your roof and jump through your
chimney and give you presents. Tough choice.
But what the world wants is for all to focus on the now and
forget about the live hereafter. So yes option B is nice and for a few years
you will have a great life, but after that you face eternity in a nice and warm
place where it will not be fun. In fact it will be pain and suffering for
eternity, where option B will give you eternity with the Lord. What most people
can’t do is the basic mathematics between a few years of life on earth and
eternity that awaits us.
So back to Christmas. Christmas is the celebration of the
gift we have in Jesus Christ and the life that awaits us. It is the commitment
we make to live for His glory and to reveal Him to everyone. It is in this
amazing time of the year that we can truly show Jesus to a world that desperately
needs Him.
So today let is reveal the Lord in the way we live so that
when He is revealed to the world when He returns, we will share in His glory
and many will be saved.
Lord, thank you that we can celebrate your birth freely. I pray
that you will be with all who reads your blog in places where we cannot freely
share your birth and protect them in this time so that they too can share in
the true meaning of Christmas. In Jesus name.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
