Today Reminder (Strength in weakness) – 28 February 2018

A reminder for today
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (1 Corinthians 12:9)

We are getting closer to the end of our current release, so tensions are high, and the work is still plenty and difficult. We did not have water in our building yesterday and it was quite an eye opener for a time when water might not be so plentiful. If you consider Cape Town that is going through a very hard time with huge water restrictions. I spoke to the cleaner in the kitchen about this and she reminded me that we are so lucky in comparison to other and how much discomfort did one day without water created.

I realised again that we complain way to easily and mostly without cause. This morning I got upset when a driver cut me off at a circle, but I still have a car to drive to work. I do not use public transport, nor do I walk to work like so many South Africans.

The Lord reminded me of this verse: My grace is sufficient for the and my strength is made perfect in weakness. Then Paul said that he will rather glory in his infirmities (weaknesses) so that the power of Jesus may be on him.

So, today I remind you and me that we have much to be grateful for and much more because the power of the Lord is upon us in our weaknesses. His grace is enough, and we should stop living for this world and start to live for Jesus. Come with me as we change our perspective and live grateful for what we have, because what more do we need. In Jesus we have all and more.

Lord, what a way to start a day. Your grace is enough and let your power shine in our weaknesses. Let everything that we do glorify you and bring honour to you. Fill us once again with your Spirit and let us be your voice. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder (What a day) – 27 February 2018

A reminder for today
Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. (1 Peter 4:16)

How are you, my friend? Yesterday when I got home we had no power and we still do not have any power in our home. I went to train last night and injured my knee – again. So, you can imagine the frustration. The Lord took this moment to remind me that when we suffer we are on the right path. The enemy is not concerned with the lost, but he focusses his wrath on those of us that is set for heaven.

The enemy does not want us to have a nice relaxing life following Jesus. He will do anything in his power to try and break us and separate us from Jesus. This is how it is. As a Christian we will face many trials and tribulations in our journey as we pass through this world. Jesus said that we must not be surprised when we suffer for He suffered before us and for us.

So, if those dark clouds lie heavy on your horizon and the storms are coming, rejoice for it is great when we face difficulties because we are Christians. It is in these challenges that we get closer to God and we get stronger against the enemy so that in the end he will never have any power over us.

Therefore, come with me today as we rejoice in our challenges and watch as God clears the storms and carry us through. Just as He calmed the storm He will calm the demonic storms in our lives and destroy the enemy so that we will live with Him forever in eternity.

Lord, we rejoice in your name even as we walk through difficult times for we know that your rod and your staff comfort us. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder (No more) – 26 February 2018

A reminder for today
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (Revelation 21:4)

I read this verse this morning and it just filled me with an overwhelming feeling of gratitude towards our Lord and God. You see we live this life, but we know that this is not the live we are actually living for. We are mere travellers that is passing through this world to the next. This is the awesome thing that we have to keep in mind and keep in our focus. When this world ends we will see a new world where there is no more pain, death, sorrow or tears for the things we see now will be no more and we will be with the Lord.

This chapter is an important one and one of my favourites, because I long for the coming of our King. God says that He will make all things new and listen to this: It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Wow, he that overcomes this world will drink from the fountain of life and he will be called a son of God. We will live in a place where there is no need for a sun or a moon, because the glory of God will light up the entire place and there will be no night.

My dear friend, it is just a short while and then it all ends. Stay the course and keep fighting the good fight. We are here for His glory and we are here to share God’s love and show His wonder to everyone we meet. You do not need to carry a Bible with you, you can touch lives just by living in the glory of our Lord and sharing His love. You might be the only light for someone stuck in darkness.
Your smile or your friendship could save someone from missing the wonder of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I love it when Jesus went to the home of Levi and ate with tax collectors and sinners. The Bible says Jesus ate with publicans and sinners and the Pharisees questioned this. Jesus simply answered: They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Jesus calls sinners. This means that in this world we are called by Him and we are here to do something. Do not let the enemy confuse you by making you think you are condemned. You are called by our Lord. Come and stand up with me today as we answer to this call and become a light to everyone around us. Show Jesus, my friend, show Jesus.

Lord, we cannot wait for you to return. Let your will be done and let your kingdom come. Let us be the light that other need and let us share your gospel everywhere we go. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
