Today Reminder (Grace) – 1 February 2018

A reminder for today
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.  (Psalm 23:6)

Can you believe that we are already in the second month of 2018? It feels like yesterday when we celebrated Christmas and here we are in February. This year is on a roll. We started this year with the words from our Lord that He is going to do something new and I feel that this verse just adds to that. Only goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives and in the end, we will live in the house of the Lord forever and ever.

It is by His grace that we have goodness and mercy. My friend send me this today and it makes you think for a moment: If u think it is your alarm clock that woke you up this morning, try putting it beside a dead body and you will realise that it is the Grace of God that woke you up. God’s grace exceeds our understanding and surpasses our knowledge. We can never truly fathom His grace, nor can we replace it. We can live in it with goodness and mercy, but we cannot see the full extent of it.

It is by this grace and His unfailing love that He took our place and redeemed us from our past and our mistakes and our sins. I look up at the sky as it is filled with clouds preparing to rain and I see a portion of that grace. I look at the people around me laughing and talking and I see a portion of that grace. I look at my two little boys and I see a portion of that grace. I look at my life and I see a lot of that grace as the Lord never left my side and always carried me through my storms.

The great thing is that it is never too late to share in this grace and change a life. Do not fear to do God’s work, because one life saved is one less that will perish. Do not stop praying and do not stop sharing, because the is life in the words of the Lord and once He touches and changes a life there is no way the enemy will steal that life back.

It is in this grace that we can fearlessly share the gospel and touch lives all around us. Let God show His glory in our lives so that other will desire this goodness that we have.

Lord, you are so amazing, and we worship you today with open arms and hands held high. Lead us so that we can show you and share you with all and all over the world. You are our God and there is no other like you. You are all we need. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
