Today Reminder (Rainy Days) – 1 November 2018

A reminder for today
I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. (Psalm 40:1)

What I love about our summer is the rainy days. You see here in South Africa we have some huge thunder storms and they can light up the sky at night. My son always says that it is God just reminding us that He is there. He calls it the voice of God. In a way I always think he’s got a point there but let’s take that into today’s reminder.

You see we all have rainy days. Some days the sun shines and some days are cold, and some are just rainy. The weird part is that we associate rainy days with gloomy, sad and miserable weather when in fact rain makes things grow. So, what we perceive as bad is actually good.

Now you are baffled. Haha well yes, because again we are looking at a classical example of perception being influenced by our worldly nature and we find ourselves listening to the wrong voice.
What you have to remember here is that God can take any and I mean ANY bad and turn it into good. It is us that misinterpret God’s promise with the lies of the enemy. Yes, we will face storms, but Jesus calmed the storm. Yes, we will face obstacles but with God we can do all things and yes, you will have many challenges, but Jesus said if the world hates you remember they hated me first.

It comes down to what we believe and who we listen to. People can be terrible in rainy day situations, because people love misery. They will take you out and just make you more miserable when all you need to do is to stand up snap out of it and trust God. His ways are perfect, and His timing is perfect. He will not let you stand alone, and He will not let the enemy break you. Make the choice to stand up and out of your pit of despair and face the storms and the obstacles and the challenges, because in us is an almighty God.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
