Reflections of faith (Teach me) – 7 February 2019

Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. (Psalm 143:10)

It is a beautiful day here in Pretoria. Blue skies with patches of clouds making it picture perfect. If you look at the beauty of this world one can’t help thinking how you cannot believe in God. I had a great workout and I must say I am still very tired, but I am ok. I have not been this peaceful in months and I am so grateful for what God is doing in my life. I tell you I am speechless when I look at the amazing love and grace that He is pouring into my life. God is just awesome, and His love is remarkable.

I love this verse: Teach me thy will. Now I have struggled with this, because I love to just do it my way and the Lord has changed my point of view plus He brought people into my life to open my eyes and my mind. Therefore, I simply kneel before the King as I pray that He must teach me His will, because He is my God and I cannot do this without Him.

He is my God and I am nothing without Him. I love my God with all my heart and everything in me. And this has changed me completely. I see the world differently and I see people differently. I pray that He will lead me into the land of uprightness. Uprightness means: Honesty; integrity in principle or practice; conformity to rectitude (morally correct behaviour or thinking; righteousness) and justice in social dealings. This means that I will become a better person and a true ambassador for Jesus.

So, in teaching me His way God will also transform me into a new person. A person of light so that I will break the darkness and show the world who I am in God. I am not alone, I have an all-powerful God beside me and I am not afraid of what lies ahead. God’s plan is slowly forming and His promises over my life is also beginning to take shape.

I am not longer a yesterday person, I am a tomorrow person. I am a child of God and I live in His grace every day. I tell you I am so humbled by His love and the way He is healing me from all my pain. I am so much stronger, and I am so much better than I have ever been before. With Him I am unlimited, and I can do anything.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
