Today Reminder - 28 February 2013 (Reputation)

A reminder for today
So the LORD was with Joshua, and his reputation spread throughout the land. (Joshua 6:27)

I was wondering today how your walls are doing. Are they still standing or have to successfully given them to the Lord as you marched in His name to watch them fall and crumble. I have so often seen myself break down wall just to find myself rebuilding them later again. I think we get ourselves in a habit of failing and this makes us rebuild walls that once were broken down.

This verse just stood out today. I love the way it says: So the Lord was with Joshua. Do you know that the Lord is with you right now? He stands right beside you. In fact He is all around you.  And then because the Lord was with Joshua his reputation spread through the land. Wow! That is just awesome. My dear friend, think about that. The Lord is with you and your reputation will spread through the land. This is so powerful. God is ready to build you up and make you more than you can ever imagine in His name and for His glory. Inside you is a warrior and leader that is waiting to be released. You are the one that the Lord needs to fight in His army and to lead by setting an example that will spread your reputation through the land. People will look up to you and know that God is with you as you stand firmly grounded in His Word. There are so much more to you than meets the eye, and you are in for a surprise when God starts to work in you.

I salute you today great warrior and I pray that the Lord will bring about release in you so that you will become the leader and warrior He intended you to be for the glory of His name and to save lives as you stand grounded in His Word, in Jesus name.

I believe that with a heart filled with the Holy Spirit, eyes focussed on God, faith in Jesus Christ and a foundation build on the Word of God, you can be the ultimate example of a true leader and a victorious warrior in life and in all that this world can throw at you. Come with me today as we bring down the enemy. Let us take the fight to them. Let us break down walls and set captives free as we destroy the grip of the enemy and send them running.

Let’s be more, because God makes us more.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 27 February 2013 (Walls)

A reminder for today
When the people heard the sound of the rams' horns, they shouted as loud as they could. Suddenly, the walls of Jericho collapsed, and the Israelites charged straight into the town and captured it. (Joshua 6:20)

There are so many amazing things that the Lord did in the Bible, but to me the fall of Jericho is just one that stands out. A fortress of a city safely behind unbreakable walls locked shut so that no one can come in or out. The army of the Lord marched around it and the walls just crumbled. It is just awesome!

My dear friend, are there walls in your life that you cannot break? Do you find yourself staring at the impossible not knowing how you will ever succeed of overcome this enormous task? The Lord your God will give you victory over all that holds you back and keeps you away from His great love. The Lord needs warriors for His army and He needs you to take up your armour and be ready to march around these walls today. I can see you fully armoured with the armour of God, sword in hand and ready for battle. But the battle is not yours to fight, because the Lord has already given you that victory in Jesus Christ. All you need to do is walk in His glory and shout His name and the walls will crumble so that you can take possession of this piece in your life and give it to the Lord for His glory.

I pray that you will become the warrior the Lord has destined you to be so that you will break the chains and watch the walls come down around you for the glory of our Lord, in Jesus name.

The whole armour of God (Ephesians 6:11-18)

Put on all of God's armour so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.  Therefore, put on every piece of God's armour so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armour of God's righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 26 February 2013 (Dry land)

A reminder for today
So the people left their camp to cross the Jordan, and the priests who were carrying the Ark of the Covenant went ahead of them. It was the harvest season, and the Jordan was overflowing its banks. But as soon as the feet of the priests who were carrying the Ark touched the water at the river's edge, the water above that point began backing up a great distance away at a town called Adam, which is near Zarethan. And the water below that point flowed on to the Dead Sea until the riverbed was dry. Then all the people crossed over near the town of Jericho. (Joshua 3:14-16)

Wow! Once again the Lord leads the people of Israel through water by making an opening and letting them walk through on dry land. Now here we are living in our land that is about to be invaded by a nation and as this nation stands to cross a great river, the river suddenly backs up and they walk through on dry land. Now if I was living there I would be terrified of such a people. God is just amazing!

My dear friend, where do you find yourself today? Are you standing on the banks of a great river not knowing where to cross? Do you need a break from the continuous flow of events to cross through on dry land? God is with you and just as He was with Moses and Joshua, He stands with you and He will let you walk through all that burdens you on dry land. I love how the Lord tells Joshua in verse 7:  "Today I will begin to make you a great leader in the eyes of all the Israelites. They will know that I am with you, just as I was with Moses.” I feel that the Lord is telling you today that He will make you a great leader in your family or at work and that He will lead you so that you will cross on dry land and that you will let others follow you on this path to salvation.

I pray that you will become the leader God has intended you to be so that you will follow His voice and walk through all that troubles you without fear, in Jesus name.

My dear friend, God sees the immense amount of possibility in you. Let Him be your guide and follow His voice so that you will become the leader He needs you to be. You have so much more that you can conquer in life for the glory of our Lord, the creator of heaven and earth. Come let us unite in our Lord and stand today so that we can defeat the enemy with the Lord that strengthen us and leads us so that our victories today will echo His glory into eternity.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Today Reminder - 25 February 2013 (Supreme)

A reminder for today
No wonder our hearts have melted in fear! No one has the courage to fight after hearing such things. For the LORD your God is the supreme God of the heavens above and the earth below. (Joshua 2:11)

I hope you had an awesome weekend and that you are well rested and ready for the week that lies ahead. Our weekend was a blessed one where we once again had the privilege of spending it amongst family. Family plays a vital role in our lives, they are there to help us and stand with us through troubled times. When I see how wonderfully blessed we are with the amazing family that God has given us, I once more realize how great and awesome our God is.

Joshua had send spies into the Promised Land and specifically into Jericho. They found a prostitute named Rahab where they took shelter and hid themselves from the king of Jericho. Rahab hid them in her roof and told the soldiers that they had left already. She then turns to the spies and told them that the people of her land is living in fear of the Israelite people for their God is the supreme God of the heavens above and the earth below.

My dear friend, the enemy lies in fear of our God knowing what He is capable of. You are the child of the supreme God who made the heavens and the earth. God sends us into our land every day, not to be spies but to openly stand out as His representatives. The enemy fears that you will boldly live your life as a son of God and without fear start each day, because the victory is already in our hands. The hearts of our enemy melts in fear even when they hear the name of our God. Let us take on today without fear, because the fear is not ours to bear, the fear is in the enemy. We are the sons and daughters of the living God and with Jesus in our hearts we are unstoppable and unbeatable in our war against the forces of darkness.

Let’s take the land the Lord has given us and conquer it with His message on our lips and His light in our hearts. Let’s us destroy the strongholds of the enemy and turn hearts towards Jesus so that we can save lives and let people be released from the grip of evil into the light of Jesus.

I pray that you will walk without fear, talk without fear and show Jesus without fear, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 22 February 2013 (Overcome)

A reminder for today
"Remember what Moses, the servant of the LORD, commanded you: 'The LORD your God is giving you a place of rest. He has given you this land.' (Joshua 1:13)

Overcome:

Finally! I want to say finally the people of Israel is about to cross the Jordan river and into the Promised Land, but I also want to say finally it is Friday and finally we are back at home. Everybody is fine, but I can see the strain of a tough week in my family’s eyes. When I read this verse today I see this land as a piece of our lives. When we move closer to God we come across areas in our life that we must overcome or get control over so that we can move closer to God. So what I feel the Holy Spirit is saying to me is that God says that He is giving you a place of rest, and He is giving you these areas so that you can continue your journey to Him and you do not need to worry about them anymore. He has given you victory!

My dear friend, I can only humbly give all the glory to God for keeping me up through this week. For giving me strength and for keeping me close to His heart. All the glory and all the honour goes to Him for keeping His hands over my family and for giving me wonderful friends like you. God has gone ahead and He has given me a place of rest, He has given me this land, this area as I humbly place my life and my family in His hands.

I pray that you will overcome the areas in your life where you need victory so that you will come closer to God, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
