A
reminder for today
But
when the people of Israel cried out to the LORD for help, the LORD again raised
up a rescuer to save them. His name was Ehud son of Gera, a left-handed man of
the tribe of Benjamin. The Israelites sent Ehud to deliver their tribute money
to King Eglon of Moab. (Judges 3:15)
Reading about these judges that the Lord raised up is
quite interesting. Ehud went to King Eglon with a supposed secret message and
when they were alone, he pulled out a hidden dagger and killed the king. He then
locked the doors and slipped out reaching the Israelite army to bring them back
and destroy the Moabites.
I often wonder about the message that the Holy Spirit has
hidden in these amazing stories. Today as we continue on through judges, we are
looking at Ehud as left-handed man from the tribe of Benjamin who concealed a weapon
to kill a king.
My dear friend, sometimes we must conceal our intentions
with our friends to lure them to the Lord with our hearts. It is sometimes necessary
to show them the way instead of telling them the way. It is much easier to
speak from experience rather than to guess.
The Holy Spirit gave me this image of a hidden weapon
within our lives and this weapon can even bring down the toughest of opponents.
This weapon is the Holy Spirit and I think we have not even come close to
knowing the unlimited wealth of strength that lies within us. Come with me
today as we allow the Holy Spirit to move within our lives so that we will defeat
the enemy and save lives. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to guide us in
understanding Him more and allowing Him His rightful place within our lives.
Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
Cheers
