A
reminder for today
When
all Israel heard the king's decision, the people were in awe of the king, for
they saw the wisdom God had given him for rendering justice. (1 Kings 3:28)
I think the argument of the two women over a child is
something we all know and how Solomon revealed the real mother when he wanted
to cut the child in half. You may frown at Solomon’s decision, but due to God’s
wisdom he knew that the real mother would not let the child die. Following
God’s voice every day is so important. I spoke to a friend today about lost
chances. You see the enemy knows that we can lead people to Jesus with our
lives and how we live when we follow the teachings of the gospel. The enemy
will find ways to mislead you during your day so that you miss the opportunity
to show Jesus to someone who desperately needs Him.
Take this scenario for example: You wake up in the
morning and an argument at home makes you leave for work in a hurry a little
annoyed. On the way bad traffic fuels an
already fowl temper, and finally at the last traffic light before you turn to
your place of work a beggar seeks help. Instead of showing the heart of Jesus,
you let him have the anger that now fills your being. He sees a Christian
screaming at him and not Jesus reaching out to him.
Listening to God’s voice and asking for His wisdom will
let us turn evil into good. For example: The argument at home that morning
could’ve been avoided by listening to God or you could handle it with more
control allowing God to guide you through it and listening to His voice before
reacting, thus letting you get into your car with more self-control and a closer relationship with God and finally at the
last traffic light you will pause and listen to the beggar who knocked at your
window and when you looked you realise that it is someone in need as you hear
the Holy Spirit telling you to stop and help.
God’s wisdom is so needed in our world today and more so
is it needed to turn hearts and bring people back to God, and sadly those
people who need to turn back are the very people we work with or meet on a
daily basis. How many times do we insult people or allow people to insult other?
How many times do we allow anger to control us? How many times do we allow good
people to do or say bad things? How many times do we turn our heads and act
like we did not hear of see?
My dear friend, it is time to make a difference. I pray
that God will give you wisdom so that people will stand in awe of you when you
stand for what is right in the name of Jesus.
Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus
Cheers
