A
reminder for today
The
LORD said to him, "I have heard your prayer and your petition. I have set
this Temple apart to be holy—this place you have built where my name will be
honoured forever. I will always watch over it, for it is dear to my heart.” (1
Kings 9:3)
I suppose we often wonder about our prayers and does God
hear them. It has been my experience that God always hear our prayers, even the
quick ones we say when we are in need. But what we do not know is the reason
why things happen and that my dear friend is above me to explain, only God
knows why things happen the way they do. I believe it is not my place to
question God nor is it my place to supervise God. I believe that I must look
within myself and make sure that my faith is in God and that I trust His
judgement completely. What does it help if I pray to God to help, but I still
search for another way to solve my problem? If I ask God for help, I should trust
God for it and allow Him to do what is right in His time, because God surely
has a plan and He knows when I need it and what I will need.
"I
tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have
done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You
can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring
glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do
it! (John 14:12-14)
Jesus made this promise to us, if we ask Him, He will do
it. My dear friend, where is your faith and where is your trust? Come with me
today as we pray with the intention to receive as we ask God for what is
important so that He will be glorified when we receive. Do not think for a
minute that God does not hear your prayer, He surely does and He will surely
answer your prayer at the right time.
