Today Reminder - 27 June 2013 (Renew)

A reminder for today
Then he went on alone into the wilderness, traveling all day. He sat down under a solitary broom tree and prayed that he might die. "I have had enough, LORD," he said. "Take my life, for I am no better than my ancestors who have already died." (1 Kings 19:4)

I have had enough. Do those words sound familiar? Elijah fled from Jezebel who promised to kill him just as he had done with the prophets of baal. Finally and out of exhaustion he sat down under a tree, broken and disappointed. He wanted to die for he must have felt that all he did was for nothing. Have you been here before? Have you ever felt that you are tired and broken and wished that life would come to an end, because you are not worthy of it.

My dear friend, I can feel your pain and your disappointment. I can see your heart heavy with this burden and I can almost see an image of your face, tired and sad. As Elijah laid there exhausted and troubled God send an angel to bring him food and water so that he can renew his strength for the journey that awaited him to Mount Sinai.

This happens so often in life. The enemy will do anything to discourage you and make you feel unworthy. My dear and wonderful friend, listen to me today. I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! (Psalm 121) Stand up and look up, yes, up there in that blue heaven is a loving God that will never ever leave you. He will never let you fail and He will never let the enemy defeat you, because He loves you so much that He gave His only Son to die for your sins and your transgressions. His blood has already washed away all your sins so let it wash away your pain. Let the blood of Jesus free you from this grip that enemy so much want to keep on you and stand up. Come and stand with me as we lift our hands and give our hearts to Jesus so that He can fill this void the enemy brings and free us from our misery. Let Jesus be the bread you eat and the living water that flows from within you.

Jesus replied, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. (John 6:35)

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
