A
reminder for today
Don't
be dejected and sad, for the joy of the LORD is your strength!" (Nehemiah
8:10)
Yet another beautiful day awaits us as we continue on our
journey. How are you my dear friend and how was your Tuesday? How are you
dealing with your challenges this week and are you tired? I am once again in
awe of the wonderful God we worship. As I faced the challenges that this week
started with I realised that they suddenly seem small when I placed them on the
hands of our Lord. What seemed as a mountain now seems easily doable with the
wisdom and understanding the Lord blessed me with. For the joy of the Lord is
surely my strength.
It is Wednesday and we are halfway through this week. I feel
that the Lord wants to encourage you to seek His joy and feel His strength as
it flows through your body. We have been blessed with rain and hail in the last
two days and as the rain is needed so much the hail left its mark of
destruction. In our life we are often caught in the middle of a storm and I have
this image of two kinds of storms, one with rain and another with rain and
hail. The storms in our life can be short bursts or long outstretched typhoon
type of storms. The Lord wants to remind us that as the storm raged on the sea
around the apostles and they were frightened by its ferocity, He merely spoke
and the storm quieted.
Jesus
responded, "Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!" Then he
got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm. The
disciples were amazed. "Who is this man?" they asked. "Even the
winds and waves obey him!" (Matthew 8:26-27)
My dear friend we need to allow the joy of the Lord into
our lives and let the Lord calm our storms as we continue our journey towards a
life of change. Let our faith soar as we completely trust the Lord with all our
hearts and minds.
Lord we humbly lay all our storms in your hands as we
trust you to calm them with your Word. Fill our lives with your joy and let us
soar over our storms with your strength. In Jesus name.
Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus
Cheers
