reminder for today
The
LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their
lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by
the hand. (Psalm 37:23-24)
How are you my dear friend? How are you doing where you
are? Are you tired and burdened? Do you feel that the pressure of the New Year
is pulling you down and that you are overloaded with troubles? Do you sometimes
feel that you are sinking and that there is no way you will get up again?
These verses are so beautiful. The Lord delights in you
my friend, not only in you but in every little detail of your life. He delights
in your smile and your laugh, in the sorrow that He carries with you and in the
pain that burdens you. He delights in your good and in your bad. He delights in
you, just the way you are. When you stumble you will not fall, for He holds you
by the hand, even when you let go, He never lets go.
He carries you in His hands and lifting you up and
giving you the strength so that you will be able to face these mountains and
walk through your storms.
He is the light that guides you and the shelter that
protects you. You are a powerful person with an almighty God that dwells within
you. You are perfect even in your imperfections. Stand up and let us face this
day without fear, for God has not given
us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. (1Timothy
1:7)
