Today Reminder – 18 March 2014 (Day 12 – My Strength)

A reminder for today
But I confess my sins; I am deeply sorry for what I have done. (Psalm 38:18)

What is it that holds you back? Why are you afraid to commit yourself completely to God and love Him faithfully and trustingly? Sometimes we carry with us a burden that we have hidden deep within our hearts and sometimes it is just something that you did today. Sometimes it is something that you are struggling with to either forgive someone or forgive yourself.

These burdens however small can have a huge impact on your relationship with the Lord and it can directly affect your strength and support. When we feel embarrassed about something that we hide deep within us we can struggle to commit, because the enemy will keep on telling you that you are not worthy.

Even with day to day mistakes we can feel a certain amount of embarrassment and failure, because of the mistakes we make. This is the enemy trying to confuse you.

When Jesus gave His life, He did it for all of your sins. He did not make a list of sins that He was willing to die for. He died for all of them and for you to feel like a failure or embarrassed because of your past or the mistakes you have made is purely the enemy trying to mislead you into giving up.

He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west. (Psalm 103:12)

Come and lift up your head, for your sins are forgiven. I just love the part in Luke 5 where Jesus heals the paralysed man. Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he asked them, "Why do you question this in your hearts? Is it easier to say 'Your sins are forgiven,' or 'Stand up and walk'? So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins." Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, "Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!" And immediately, as everyone watched, the man jumped up, picked up his mat, and went home praising God. Everyone was gripped with great wonder and awe, and they praised God, exclaiming, "We have seen amazing things today!"

My dear friend, you are still going to see amazing things. Be ready for it.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
