Today Reminder – 10 April 2014 (Day 8 – My Life)

A reminder for today
But I am like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. I will always trust in God's unfailing love. I will praise you forever, O God, for what you have done. I will trust in your good name in the presence of your faithful people. (Psalm 52:8-9)

Life – Living In Faith Every day!

What kind of a tree are you? David says that he is like an olive tree, thriving in the house of God. Primarily, the olive tree symbolizes faithfulness and steadfastness. No matter what the conditions: hot, dry, cold, wet, rocky, or sandy, the evergreen olive tree will live and produce fruit. It is said that you can never kill an olive tree. Even when cut down or burned, new shoots will emerge from its roots. This Scripture passage reminds us that no matter the conditions of life, we should remain steadfast as the olive tree in the presence of God - evergreen (faithful) and bearing fruit.

One of the most remarkable trees is the olive tree. Most of us are not too familiar with olive trees because they don't grow near where we live. However, in the land of the Bible, it was, and is, the most important of all the trees because it is a source of food, light, hygiene and healing.

Life is all about roots and as firm as the olive tree is rooted to the ground we should be rooted in God. David understood this that is why he wrote I will always trust in God's unfailing love. I will praise you forever, O God, for what you have done. David was rooted in God even when the walls came crumbling down when Saul wanted him dead.

Let us stop for a moment and re-evaluate our position. Let us re root ourselves in God so that we can thrive in the house of God always trusting God and giving Him praises. Just as God made the olive tree one of the most important trees, He also made you. You are one of the most important trees in this world, because you can give life by living in His light.

Come and let us root ourselves in God and live in faith each and every moment of every day.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
